McCain's Adviser's On Palin

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Anybody catch McCain's adviser's speaking about Palin on "60 Minutes" Sunday evening?
"SHE DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING!"
She didn't know anything about WW1
She didn't know anything about WW2
She didn't know anything about the Korean war and didn't know why there's a South Korea and a North Korea.
She thought Saddam Hussein was behind 9/11 and couldn't explain who her own son was fighting against in Iraq.
Couric's interview was reasonable and simply demonstrated Palin's ineptitude.
When they tried to teach her about national security, of which she knew nothing, her eyes glazed over. They had to hustle her butt to Arizona to prepare her for her debate with Biden and she had to refer to him at the start of the debate as "Joe" because she kept calling him "OBiden" during the prep and she actually did the same during the debate because she couldn't distinguish between the two names.

Palin: The 2012 Option On The Table

So do you believe Palin would win if she runs or do you believe McCain's principle adviser who stated her run would be "catastrophic" for the GOP?

somebody tell me why?

Why Americans should not all have equal access to healthcare

the key word here is "equal"

I have a gold plated health plan, no deductibles, no co-pay, prescriptions free, eye care...free, dental...free. I pay $40 a month for health care for me and my wife.

my neighbor has no health insurance. When his child got the flu, my neighbor got a bill to pay...this is not equal.

Why should I get any different treatment even though myself and my next door neighbor are Americans?

I would like to hear why some of y'all think I should get treated better than my neighbor...

Why should he get a bill, why should I be able to walk into a clinic/emergency room/doctor present a card, get my care and walk out knowing I will only pay 40 dollars next month?
A lot of people in other countries that do have healthcare provided in an equal and accessible manor are scratching their heads and wondering the same thing. They also don't understand why people in America should be penalized for getting sick and being denied future coverage for a "pre-existing condition."

Did You Catch The Republican Response?

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Anybody watch the post partum dismissal?
Let's put it this way: the past eight years never happened and the financial meltdown at a national and global level couldn't have been precipitated by private investment as we knew it under the previous administration and only it can save us now.
Beyond that, and quoting the Virginia governor poster child for a Sunday school teacher-like Republican at the pulpit: "and the scriptures say"...
The guns and religion crowd must be pleased...

Obama Meets Republicans

Posted By Rod Kaufman

I just watched it on CNN but here's the article:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100129/ap_on_re_us/us_obama_gop
The entire thrust of the intent of the meetings as proposed and initiated by the president was to activate bipartisanship. Frankly, all he got, thus far, from the Republicans was more of the same partisanship we've seen thus far. On healthcare, and you can read it in the link, a Republican congressman actually stood before the president, his fellow Republicans, and those watching and proclaimed a GOP proposal would cover everybody and answer insurance company abuses and not raise costs a penny. As Obama promptly responded: it's just not true. Ditto for the Republican claim that the Democratic health care proposal would raid medicare.
The Republicans just didn't even seem remotely interested in bipartisanship and some of their questions were bizarre and didn't even make any sense at all. It's too bad more people didn't see it live...

Obama Fights Back

About time he starts giving the Republicans a taste of their own medicine:

I hope he gets the message out loud and clear to expose the GOP for what they really are...
