Again: It's a semiautomatic weapon MADE FOR COMBAT.

No military is using it, maybe in some 3rd world countries or ever has or have plans to AFAIK.....so I guess they missed the mark LOL.

Classifying weapons based on looks is silly.....I had a single shot Thompson Contender .243 which I upgraded to a 18.5" barrel and added a folding stock for hunting....I guess that made it an assault weapon too lol

The AR-15 platform is likely the biggest selling rifle in America.
America's favorite rifle!

Well aware....I have a couple of them myself. But it is not used by the military. It is not an assault weapon in any respect but looks. Of course the gun grabbers want to use that term for it because it sounds menacing and fits their agenda.....

Of course they are.....they are trained to fire their *real* assault weapons in single fire, semi-auto and full auto.....

Some years ago, I was up at Mt Pinos for an observing session when another observer, an imager to be exact, bitched about paying $15.00/year to join the AM while CN was FREE. He had TWO AP refractors, a computer, upgraded cameras and a large RV. To hear him tell it, the lousy $15.00 fee for a year of the AM was the make or break deal of the century.
It would be great if a similar fee was imposed on CN as it would help to screen out all the cocka...

That topic has been broached with Mike several times.....he isnt interested in monetizing it. I suspect both from a bookkeeping perspective and he enjoys a significant tax write off for the operation of it.

Plenty of tightwads like you describe that whine about the $15.....pretty much every time AM comes up lol

By and large that is the process.....there are some mods who do monitor their forums personally and frequently and others that dont. I tended to monitor mine when I was a moderator.....but as Dave said given the volume of some forums it would be a full time job. We just appreciate those that volunteer their services....No one (mod or admin) gets paid in any form.....
