Astromart should

Posted By Hugh Bartlett

I voted for the annual fee, but I like your idea better. In order to make it effective, a non-supporter should be able to see the ads they are blocked from responding to (limited info like when you access the website without logging on), so they know what they are missing out on.

Of course, it only works as a buyer incentive, but most of us do both buying and selling. And there would still be lurkers out there not actively participating, just looking, but that's okay (no harm; no foul). Still, if the active participants all became supporters (and certainly a large percentage would after missing out on that one great deal), it might make more money than the two options presented in the poll.

Good thinking, Jon!

Double stars for 3-4" aperture?

Posted By Hugh Bartlett

I second the recommendation for Jim Mullaney's Double Star Atlas.  The charts are by Wil Tirion and  go with me every time I'm stargazing.  They are a perfect size between the Pocket Sky Atlas and the larger Sky Atlas 2000.0 by S&T.  I have it paired with Jim's Celestial Harvest, which he updated in 2015, and lists other showpieces for small telescopes.  I believe the current version of CH is self-published, so contact Jim at [email protected] to get a copy.
