There have been many responses 'I do this and my preferences are that', but I have to remark that my pie chart has come out much against my expectations. I expected much less double stars and much more open clusters. So maybe someone will want to sit down and actually count the observations.

Herbert, I am surprised that you didn't vary magnification; many of your unresolved globulars would resolve at higher power in 8 inch.

Minimum Aperture for Planetary Viewing?

I have been having a lot of serious fun watching Jupiter for one week with my 80mm apo at 12N. I can see up to ten belts (polar regions included) and a lot of details, including 'spots' in EB and the chain of vortices following GRS in SEB. I have never been able to see such level of detail in my 8" at home.
