These are the types of things I build. This is MY use of Zebrawood in Audiophile Loudspeakers, which I am now marketing.

I decided to make removeable wood grilles just for a unique style.
How do they sound? Got any reviews?

Is it just zebra wood veneers?

Are they a surround set? If so, where is the center speaker? They mains look very nice indeed.

if the smaller speakers are stereo pairs are they just one way? No tweeters?

I didn't realize that. He still didn't post a pick of himself. I'd be proud to stand next to something I built. A photo that will be seen by maybe twelve astro geeks on the astromart?

I'm curious if these are prototypes and how many iterations he went through if these are the final design. I know a little bit about speakers as I've been involved with live audio and sound my whole life, I've built a few stereo pairs myself, and I am a "thrifty" audiophile who doesn't buy into the hype and hyperbole of high end audio. If it is reasonably priced and floats my boat I can buy it, but $700+ for cabling? Nope.

Ah, you posted while I was writing. Good luck on the speakers. Not a fan of Klipsch speakers at all. I listen to jazz and many other genres and the horns just don't do it for me. Currently have Monitor Audio Bronze R6 Towers for my stereo pair and HT R and L.

I have zebra wood on my dobsonian telescope for accent. The focuser board, the knob on the mirror box cover, and the outrigger I made to get the stalk out of the way while observing near zenith are all zebra wood with just a matte urethane finish.

Here is the only shot you will get because I just took it 5 seconds ago.

I no longer have my white Goatee.  Shaved it a couple of weeks back.

LOL!!
Well, there you are looking all normal and stuff. We all know that's not true.  wink

I wanted to quote that reply but the link was too long and the quote button was out in the right cyberspace somewhere.

Yeah, Jim, those might be kind of expensive, but in all fairness they are 15 feet long. Now $62K for an eight footer is just plain old silly.

I know, right? I use Radio Shack 12 ga. speaker wire and some of it is even old. I'm running out though and might need to find a new supplier. I've used lamp cord in the past, too, when I was really poor and in college.

Probably ignore the facts, or plead they haven't heard about it, or even know who the congressman is, and then give you the finger?

Sorry Greg, that was too easy.

Not jealous at all, Greg, and please keep your finger to yourself. I just wish you could be just a tiny bit more open minded about some things, especially when a post is made like this thread about our country's military leadership and one man holding up over 250+ promotions and postings. I guess if the news you watch doesn't cover the story it isn't happening?
