The Fix Is In

Posted By Rod Kaufman

Here's the Fox News("fair and balanced") video blasting Flip:

Are they part of the fix, too?

Romney's "Tax Plan"

Posted By Rod Kaufman

"Mathematically impossible":
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/ezra-klein/wp/2012/08/04/romney-tax-plan-on-table-debt-collapses-table/
Of course, there will those who(mis)interpret the facts to their own liking, but the bottom line is Romney's plan increases the tax burden on the middle class. Just look at the facts:

Judge Backs Holder

Posted By Rod Kaufman

The Orange County Muslim lawsuit against the FBI was tossed today when a federal judge sided with Holder:

I find it disconcerting that a portion of the lawsuit can move forward. If they don't have anything to hide, why sue the FBI?
If the FBI wants to come to my synagogue and sit in, they're welcome...

"Made In The USA"

Posted By Rod Kaufman

This may not be strictly "political" in subject matter, but it appears American makers are returning from foreign shores...

Romney Thus Far

Posted By Rod Kaufman

While it's always difficult to judge Romney's decisions on policy, since he flip-flops so often, some things can still be concluded based upon what he`says:
1. Iraq: If Romney had it his way, we'd still be there:
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/10/21/romney-blasts-obamas-iraq-decision/
Now, of course, we know Obama made the right choice. Iraq isn't an imminent threat to US national security and never was. And the fact that we withdrew didn't compromise anything.
2. Afghanistan: Romney wants us to stay there, too:
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/03/us/politics/obama-glad-to-debate-romney-on-afghanistan-pullout.html
If there's an exit plan on Mitt's Afghan position, it's not in HIS policy.
3. Tax Statements: His wife, YES his WIFE, stated the other day he's NOT releasing anything else. We all know how great that one is going over.
4. Taxes: Mitt's plan isn't:
http://factcheck.org/2012/08/romneys-impossible-tax-promise/
5. On freedom of speech: His adviser tells reporters who ask questions to kiss his ---. So much for transparency...
To be continued...

Figures...

Well, it's like a Republican to have the state dictate to women on what they can and can't do and what's legitimate and what's not when it comes to making decisions about their own body...

"Civil War"

Posted By Rod Kaufman

I should pause to clarify the GOP Aiken platform. It's actually the Ryan/Aiken platform:

"Civil War"

In addition to the Akin platform, the GOP now has a Texas judge(fair and impartial)stating civil war will ensue if Obama is reelected:
http://www.cnn.com/2012/08/23/us/texas-judge-warning/index.html?hpt=hp_t2
The judge's reasoning centers around Obama calling in UN troops to quell troublesome American dissent. Perhaps the GOP is also considering a preemptive strike against the UN to prevent such an eventuality. Glad to know the GOP has our backs...
