The judge's reasoning centers around Obama calling in UN troops to quell troublesome American dissent. Perhaps the GOP is also considering a preemptive strike against the UN to prevent such an eventuality. Glad to know the GOP has our backs...

Sounds impressive, doesn't it?
Er, ah, we're already on track to be there with what we're doing right now.
So, what's Flip up to? For starter's he'll open up drilling on Federal lands and offshore areas, in particular. The latter, of course, is a sensitive environmental region, especially in light of the oil spill variously described as Obama's Katrina in these (red) neck of the woods. But if Flip proposes it, the trade winds have shifted and it must be good. In other words, it's drill baby drill, on steroids.
Now, what do we get out of it? Here's where it gets a bit tricky. It really depends who the "we" is that we're talking about. If you're a CEO of, say, Exxon, you'd be dancing in the street with the bonus waiting for you. That's because your profits will go even higher than they've already been. Why? It's because your company will be producing more and EXPORTING more oil than it has before, all the while charging the same amount for domestic consumption as it always has. Don't expect Republicans to curtail domestic exportation of American petroleum products, EVER. Thus, oil companies will clean up, soaking up profits from both domestic and increased exportation of oil.
IF, we're going to do what Romney wants, there ought to be a few strings attached:
1. Require oil companies to update existing refineries and open new ones for DOMESTIC consumption.
2. In times of crisis, limit exports until it resolves.
3. Get Utah to accept nuclear waste in its backyard!
4. Speaking of nukes, the nukes sites get a whopping 2 years to get their act together. Better hope that means they're better than Japan's...

Not for one minute do I believe the prior governor of Utah and head of Romney's transition team is attempting to put his own people into positions of authority. And by "his own people", I mean his friends, confidants, and business associates. I don't believe anybody could be so gullible as to believe that could possibly happen.
All I want to know is what ward they hail from...
