Foreign aid goes to many countries. Israel is one of them. Besides the obvious, Israel being the only reliable democracy in the middle east, and therefore sharing mutually consistent objectives and goals with the United States, consider:

Jesse Ventura had a good point tonight on his CNN interview. Where was former president Bush and vice president Cheney during the Republican convention? Ventura claims the Republicans don't want people reminded of what got us into the mess we have in the first place.
