Should the US fund PBS/CPB?

Overall, PBS gets a tiny, tiny amount of public funding for public broadcasting. Much of the broadcasts go to areas that can't access normal cable because they can't afford it. You've linked to commentary/opinion but there's another side of the coin. I forget the overall amount of funding for PBS but in the grand scheme of things, but it's incredibly small. I don't want Flip's mega trillion dollar defense build up that the pentagon doesn't think we need. Why don't we talk about that instead. Let's examine Flip's perception of Russia as our number one geopolitical foe or, wait, has he reversed himself on that one too?. Or is he just too busy criticizing Obama on Iran to notice? Or, perhaps it's his first day in office agenda: repealing Obamacare, no wait, at the debates he said he was going to reach across the aisle to mend fences with the democrats. Or, wasn't that supposed to be day one of his jobs tour? So many tasks, so little time...

The only thing a president can do to have a relatively immediate effect on gas prices is to release oil from the strategic oil reserve. As we have already seen, the more oil companies accumulate petroleum products, the more they export it. So, in essence, they control the supply and demand. They can either provide more of their product here at home, and if there's too much supply and their profit margin dips, they export more thereby tightening domestic supplies and increasing their domestic profits. They will continue to record record quarterly profits just as they are doing now...
