So then, how is it that you claim that ME taking YOUR article and then Me quoting what was written in Your article and putting up the words of the President of the Company who hosted the event, where he bragged that it was "Unbelievable", amount to Me spinning it?  smile

Please explain.

How can you claim that I spun the facts of the article, when I Quoted YOUR article and put the statement up that was Reported In YOUR article, whereby a current Auto Worker by the name of Doug King stated what he stated?

Here is the direct writing from YOUR article:

"One of the attendees for Trump's speech, Doug King, a 55-year-old auto worker from Clawson, said ultimately, consumers, not the government, should decide which vehicles to purchase"

King said he supported Trump's efforts to pressure auto manufacturers to keep jobs in the United States during his term in the White House.

“The four years under Trump were the best years that we had in the auto industry," contended King, who works for Stellantis..

So here is the $64,000 question for you.  What did I spin there?  Please be specific.  smile
Okay wise guy, prove to me it weren't fake UAW workers there.

You know, with the ongoing strike the UAW membership is in touch with the leadership and visa versa. You think the fact the former president shows up at a small non union supplier with folks posing as UAW workers will go over well with the rank and file? How about that crusty old Joe Biden walking the picket line with the UAW membership? Which do you think will resonate more?

AP: Judge rules Donald Trump defrauded banks and insurers while building real estate empire

Back on topic, I think Trump should start paying taxes on Mar-A-Lago based on his claim the property could be worth up to 1.8 billion, not the paltry 18 million value it is taxed on.

Still, doesn't this effectively end Biden's judicial nominations?

Davis said: So then YOU the great Russ Carroll, all knowing beacon of knowledge KNOW that it is a hell of a lot closer to $18 Million than $100 Million?

....You know something?  It appears that aside from knowing a lot about Science, when it comes to other subjects, you really don't know Shit from Shinola.  tongue

....Nah, I think that based upon about 30 seconds of research I can say securely without equivocation, that you so full of shit that it is coming out of your ears.  smile

Do you really need to be such of an ass when making your comments? Do you feel so inadequate that you feel the need to express yourself like this?

I would be more interested in what taxable value Mar-A-Lago is accessed as far as Florida state property taxes go. Is that in the Forbes article? I would think the judge would have access to this number which might explain his valuation of the property. The crux of the article is the Trump organization fudged the numbers both ways to benefit their bottom line.

James, what do the court rulings have to do with Rich's facts?

Back to day two of the trial:

from CNN:

"The former president told reporters during the break that he'll take the witness stand in the case "at the appropriate time."

"I will," Trump said.

Trump is on both the AG and his own team's witness lists.

He also delivered some mixed messages on the financial statements that the judge has already found are fraudulent, maintaining the statements were "incredibly strong" while also saying that there were disclaimers suggesting financial institutions shouldn't rely on them.

"There was absolutely no fraud," he said, calling the case against him "a scam and a fraud."

---------------

Trump taking the stand? Well alright, that should be good.

So, the financial statements are "incredibly strong" but with disclaimers. Basically, yeah, we prepared these financial statements for you but do not believe them.

CNN: John Kelly goes on the record to confirm several disturbing stories about Trump

Posted By Jim Moscheck

I get that some folks will look past Trump's "problems" and support him, but I can't understand how a party that is supposedly pro military can not have a problem with what Trump has uttered in the past about the military. Most of the damning reporting came from an 2020 article previously published in the Atlantic, but now confirmed my former Trump WH Chief of Staff John Kelly.

This will probably be ignored by the righties on the forum, but what else is new?

From the CNN interview:

https://www.cnn.com/2023/10/02/politics/john-kelly-donald-trump-us-service-members-veterans/index.html

"Kelly set the record straight with on-the-record confirmation of a number of damning stories about statements Trump made behind closed doors attacking US service members and veterans, listing a number of objectionable comments Kelly witnessed Trump make firsthand.

“What can I add that has not already been said?” Kelly said, when asked if he wanted to weigh in on his former boss in light of recent comments made by other former Trump officials.

“A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all ‘suckers’ because ‘there is nothing in it for them.’

A person that did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because ‘it doesn’t look good for me.’

A person who demonstrated open contempt for a Gold Star family – for all Gold Star families – on TV during the 2016 campaign, and rants that our most precious heroes who gave their lives in America’s defense are ‘losers’ and wouldn’t visit their graves in France.'

“A person who is not truthful regarding his position on the protection of unborn life, on women, on minorities, on evangelical Christians, on Jews, on working men and women,”

Kelly continued. “A person that has no idea what America stands for and has no idea what America is all about.

A person who cavalierly suggests that a selfless warrior who has served his country for 40 years in peacetime and war should lose his life for treason – in expectation that someone will take action.

A person who admires autocrats and murderous dictators.

A person that has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law.

“There is nothing more that can be said,” Kelly concluded. “God help us.”

In the statement, Kelly is confirming, on the record, a number of details in a 2020 story in The Atlantic by editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg, including Trump turning to Kelly on Memorial Day 2017, as they stood among those killed in Afghanistan and Iraq in Section 60 at Arlington National Cemetery, and saying, “I don’t get it. What was in it for them?”

Those details also include Trump’s inability to understand why the American public respects former prisoners of war and those shot down in combat. Then-candidate Trump of course said in front of a crowd in 2015 that former Vietnam POW Sen. John McCain, an Arizona Republican, was “not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.” But behind closed doors, sources told Goldberg, this lack of understanding went on to cause Trump to repeatedly call McCain a “loser” and to refer to former President George H. W. Bush, who was also shot down as a Navy pilot in World War II, as a “loser.”
