WH: Broader Gun Control!

Posted By Rod Kaufman
The White House is considering broader gun control laws, enabling tracking of gun movements and sales through a national data base. In addition, universal background checks would be required of gun buyers PLUS strengthening mental health checks( well, that alone takes out half of the astromart)!

I can just see the gun nut paranoia going ballistic and when it does, they'll never pass the mental exams!!!

Executive Action ..... Surprise, Surprise

Posted By Rod Kaufman
BS. They've invited the NRA and Walmart, among others to give their input and their recommendations. That's not the action of a "dictator" to do so. But with your mindset, anything even remotely resembling gun legislation is somehow the actions of a "dictator" and anti-constitutional.
Here's your dictator:

I'm glad the kid lives in some rural area in Texas where the expended rounds didn't end up in a neighbor's house...

AR-15: For Tyranny

Posted By Rod Kaufman
I couldn't believe some of the postings that held up the idea that people need assault rifles here because of fear of tyranny from their own government. But now I see spokespeople go on national TV and proclaim the same thing:
http://www.cnn.com/video/?hpt=hp_t2#/video/bestoftv/2013/01/11/pmt-ben-shapiro.cnn
So many of the gun proponents actually believe they need their AR-15s not for home defense, or target shooting or hunting but they need them to resist the authority of the government of America. This is incredible! It gives a whole new meaning to "gun nut"...

Wow! What A Story!

Posted By Rod Kaufman
I've got two links on this one just in case you can't open the one from the LA Times.
Basically, what you've got in your dyed-in-the-wool ultra Republican ultra right wing gun-store owner and supplier of right wingers is, in reality, a FBI informant who turns in the worst offender of the right wing bunch who subsequently gets 25 years in a federal prison! YES!!!
It's like guys such as your favorite right-wingers on the AM turning on one another and off to the slammer they go! Meanwhile, the FBI informant has fled Alaska where he knows he would be killed by right wing gun nut extremists but he sure did a number on them before he got out of Dodge!
