OK, some whack-a-do on talk radio makes up a baseless, fact-free defense: "they doctored the audio."   You repeat it without specific endorsement, but without any denial either.  You are just "throwing it out there."  You don't seem to care whether the assertion is true, because it comports with one of your cherished beliefs.  This is by definition a conspiracy theory.  Rubes like you are why conspiracy theories (on the right or left) have such legs.

Also, I posted several times on Russiagate being the "big lie" of our times.  Rod always replied.  We disagreed reasonably.  You must have missed it, or perhaps you are once again just making crap up.

Don't be obtuse Rich.  I truncated your quote above to succinctly state your cherished belief.  Yes it does occur, in my opinion far less frequently than you believe.

It's a caller now?  Well that sure makes it more credible. (sarcasm)

Like I said, you neither endorsed nor denied the caller's "theory."  You threw it into the mix here though.  You propagated it.  This is the classic genesis of a conspiracy theory.  Apparently this conspiracy theory was stillborn, since no one on the web seems to be parroting it, but I don't think that makes it less of a conspiracy theory.

Yes or no please.

Doesn't a "conspiracy" amount to many people, numerous people or is it now one person?  wink

Yes, of course.  Glad to see you admit that you found this particular theory plausible.  Also, we have several people involved.  The caller, you, other listeners who maybe propagated the "theory," your audience here.  Like I just said in the previous post, this particular conspiracy theory seems to have been stillborn, but that does not change its fundamental nature.

I'm sure the callers will be all over it!  I imagine something like this:  'This country is doomed.  They jailed that heroic patriot simply for owning guns - I told you the Feds are coming for your guns and coming for my guns too!  They'll get mine when they pry them from my cold dead fingers...'

I agree with this Greg.  It certainly is not going to go away.  I think we must (and will) get on with our lives.  This is what I see in Colorado, lots of people getting on with their lives.  I do not sense much support for a return to full-scale masking.  That said, an enormous quantity of data shows that getting vaccinated makes you a lot less likely to get Covid, and a lot less likely to be seriously ill if you do.  So I continue to hope that those who have chosen not to be vaccinated will reconsider.

No wonder you're in the dark.
I see that we have moved from the starting point of "doctored audio" to the much more generic position of "lies."  Since you obviously believe that any opinion you don't understand is a lie, this is a fairly defensible position in your mind.  Much more defensible than your earlier "doctored audio" for example.  Coward.

Even so, please prove that the press publishes literally dozens of lies a week.  Or as you might say:

Please be specific.

And guess what, a line from Wikipedia doesn't cut it.

Show me {these dozens of lies per week} in full, not some snippet or line that some smear group is promoting.

Show me where they said anything that you claimed.

{I’ll ask} a specific question.  Point out your assertions and give me a link to their writings.

I don't need some {right-wing} rag to tell me {anything}.

Other than the author of {some right wing screed} telling me what they stand for, prove your bulls***.

You're full of s*** as usual since you're not bright enough to provide any evidence.

Please learn to read.  As I mentioned above, the conspiracy theory was fabricated (or propagated) by the radio caller.  I never said your repetition created the conspiracy theory.  You are simply one of the rubes who repeated the conspiracy theory.
