This kind of reminds me of the Repocrites in Utah who wailed against the stimulus plan and then took more of it than just about any state in the union. And, in a similar manner, wailed against the federal government for declaring a natural wonder or two a national monument while running to the feds to keep nuclear waste out of their backyard. Assuming you're referring to arming rebels in Syria, if McCain was president it would have happened already and he would have given them heavy weapons as well. It's not a good idea and that's Russia's objection to arming them. I suppose the best case scenario is that we'll have a situation similar to Libya wherein the more radical elements will be driven out or isolated, assuming it's even possible to do so.
Basically, we're seeing our previous administration's policy of "spreading democracy throughout the middle east" at work, with the instability caused by invading Iraq and permitting Iran's influence to flourish, much to the detriment of everyone in the region...

I got a letter this week from my insurance company saying they will no longer offer coverage in 2014 because of ObamaCare's preexisting conditions rules. The spirit of our founders, my @$%^$#.

Assuming what you say about your insurance company is true, and I have my doubts because pre-existing conditions have been required to be covered under Obama care for quite some time now, you'll have plenty of options to choose from and at lower rates than you and others stated would be the opposite:
