Another lie underlying your tirades Rich, is that any one voter fully endorses the candidate he votes for.  This was not true in 2016 when Trump was far from my first choice.  You might recall that I was an R delegate in the local elections, caucusing for Rubio.  My one and only active political gig.  So far.  Even though Trump was far from my first choice, I supported him over Clinton.

Biden was not my first choice in 2020 either.  Not by a long shot.  I certainly hope to have someone whom I fully endorse running for president against Biden or Harris in 2024.

You know this of course, but it suits you to dishonestly paint anyone who voted against Trump as being an all-in fanatic for Biden.  Are you that simple, or that dishonest?  I think the later.

We pretty much screwed the pooch on Afghanistan and it would have happened in the same fashion no matter who the president happened to be...

I get it that Rod argues we were screwed no matter who was in charge.  I think he has a point, given the situation in 2021.  Arguably our Afghan strategy should have been much better going a long ways back.  

Some commentary I have been reading from the left side of the press is along the lines of Biden's defenders trying to deflect most or all of the blame to Trump.  That is not being received well.  The Afghanistan withdrawal is a big deal and Biden, not Trump owns it in the public's mind.  

Personally, I reckon that Eisenhower would have done better.  Trump, I doubt it.

"Progress" is in the eye of the beholder.  I'd like to beat him or Harris in 2024, but not because of a series of Afghanistans.  Either way, there's no doubt that Biden's job approval polls have taken a hit because of this.
