Large sunspot group, December 28, 2004.Posted By Paul Maxson |
Hi all,
I love it when mother nature shows her sense of humor!! For about an hour this morning the sky cleared nicely, and since the ED100 is "grab and go", I did. To my surprise, not only were the skies clear (tho seeing wasn't very good), there was a large sunspot group coming onto the face of the sun....the biggest in a couple of months judging by my visual observation. I snapped a couple of images, the best is here. I still don't expect clear skies again until Thursday, it's quite cloudy and about 1/2"-1" of rain predicted.
