Do you think we need to send more troops, it just seems that we are wasting our time, and getting more soldiers killed. You may be able to stop it for a while, but as soon as you leave, it will start up again. I think it is more important that we decide to help protect Israel when the time comes, because God says he will protect those who protect Israel. It is bad thing to say, because a lot of innocent people and children would get killed. but to be honest, the only way to stop the mess in Iraq, would to destroy the whole country. So I feel that we just need to leave enough alone. How do you feel.
Well, Billy, I don't quite know where to begin with that one. First, on Israel, when you consider a Jordanian fighter bomber can reach an Israeli town in 45 seconds after launch and dump a shit load of bombs on 'em and the Israeli's are prepared to stop THAT, I'd say their chances of sticking around for awhile are still pretty good.
Next, on Iraq, if the guys you voted for in the past couple of presidential elections won(McCain or Romney), we'd still be there. Fortunately, they didn't and we're out of there. When another guy you voted for named Dubya invaded the place and destabilized the entire region with Iran emerging as the dominant player, Iraq fell apart, took a lot of people with its demise and whatever remains needs to get along on its oil revenues. While Iraq still gets a lot of aid, they have to develop their own path and we need to stay out of there so they can do it. Probably the only reason to go back in militarily is to protect our embassy in the event of an attack or to pursue a terrorist group. Otherwise, we're Winchester...
