You may be out of luck......as far as I know Paypal is the only payment service that offers protection. Assuming he doesnt come through in the end you need to report this to Herb so he can be banned from the site.

Look at your account settings and you should find where to rate him.......should be under "unused ratings".

So if I read you right you are saying he contacted you via the private messages here on AM rather than responding to your ad directly. That is why you dont have his email address. When someone responds to your ad by clicking on the "Reply to ad" button you are sent an email message to the address you have registered on your account. Then when you respond to it, it goes directly to their registered email address......If someone contacts you without responding directly to the ad that should throw up a big red flag, particularly if they wont respond via the ad when asked to. I do hope the name he gave you for Venmo matched the user name he is registered here with......if not that is another big red flag. 

1. The above was the 1st mistake, you should have asked him to respond via the ad. That way you both get to enter feedback on the transaction.

2. The 2nd was if he has only had an account for a short while he may not have had any feedback or very little. Those are the ones you need to be careful of.

3. The 3rd was agreeing to use a payment service that offers no protection like Venmo....particularly given both 1 and 2. 

Lots of red flags on this one......You may have to just chalk this one up to lessons learned for a price. Just make sure you give all the info you have on him to Herb (particularly the user name he has here) as he asked above. At least that way he wont be doing it to anyone else going forward. 

I noted you also said you have bought and sold on AM for many years now with no problem but your account shows you have only been here since mid 2020......and your feedback only has ratings for one transaction. Seems a bit contradictory with your statement. 

Given how many times the CDC has issued statements only to backtrack on covid over the last 2 years it wouldnt surprise me.

This latest regarding 800K+ deaths where they now state 75% of those had at least 4 comorbidities OR MORE is interesting and begs the question how many of the other 25% had at least 1 comorbidities or say 2....... The numbers have certainly been padded for effect lol

Those must be the ones seen in the videos holding the doors open and waving the protestors through lol

The mandate is about control and little else......otherwise more than 9% of the "American Rescue Plan Act's" nearly 2 trillion dollars would have been allocated to combating the virus through vaccines, testing, protective equipment, or resources for health care providers. So where did the other 91% go?

91% of Biden’s inflation-fueling bill is for non-COVID items, such as radical Green New Deal priorities. Among other things like for example, in South Lake Tahoe, California, they are using the American Rescue Plan funds for skate park renovations and bike trail improvements.

And in Pueblo, Colorado, they are using the funds to pay homeless individuals to pick up trash around the city.

What’s worse, of the 9% that was actually allocated for COVID-19 testing and the replenishment of our Strategic National Stockpile, reports indicate that the Biden Administration diverted over $2 BILLION of those funds to buy housing for illegal immigrants. Thats right....Biden is prioritizing illegal immigrants over the American people. Certainly not a surprise but definitely another warning of where the Democrat's priorities lie......

All I will say at this point is, it remains to be seen if they can make the charges stick. I will add however that if they are found to have actually planned and taken action such as moving in a stockpile of weapons to use then I agree with the charges and would support a conviction.

Just not so sure at this point they have much beyond a discussion...... People discuss a LOT of things, acting on them is another matter.
