This case is tragic, but it's merely a symptom of our border and immigration system that has been broken for decades. The weight of all available evidence shows clearly that immigrants of all stripes commit significantly less crime than the general population. It's no surprise that this case is being used for political gain and fodder, and any death is tragic, but drawing sweeping conclusions from one case is ignorant and dishonest. If you read about what happened and are honest, it boils down to local governments failing to work with ICE after capturing a migrant who committed violent crimes. How is that the fault of Biden and the Democrats exactly?
Republicans had a chance to fix our broken system recently but instead chose to block a bi-partisan bill that gave them mostly what they wanted. And why? Because they would rather use our broken system as a political cudgel than care about the American people. Trump was president for four years and had a majority in both houses. Why didn't he and the Republicans fix the problem, then? By your logic, Republicans and Trump are just as complicit, if not more so, than Democrats.
Lastly, there is no open border policy, and there is no epidemic of immigrant crime. There is, however, an epidemic of unjustified worry and ignorance about immigrant crime.
