I understand and in part feel the same way you do Greg, though maybe not so much on this issue. A significant chunk of the press and 1/2 the public paints anything conservative, traditional, or religious as evil or stupid. Exploiting reaction to this sort of dismissive condescension (perhaps most succinctly voiced by Clinton with the basket of deplorables comment) was Trump's life blood.
I sure do regret however, that the disinclination to get vaccinated has in part followed party lines, no matter who is to blame for this phenomenon. Your position on acquired immunity is defensible. But there are a lot of people out there with no vaccination, no acquired immunity and strong aversion to this vaccine. This is a real shame, and a real public health risk.
The browbeating tactics of the woke crowd always backfire.
But in this instance I personally hope any un-vaccinated people with no acquired immunity who have dug in to their position because of woke browbeating can transcend any hate or snobbery thrown their way and get vaccinated for their own good and for the larger social good. I get it that there are legitimate reasons for some people to avoid the vaccines, I'm not talking about those people.
