Congressman Ken Buck: A Con With Integrity: A Rarity

Posted By Jim Moscheck

And he'll be replaced by a MAGA republican. A conservative with integrity is what we need, not a sycophant of Trump.

Tortoise Endorses Hair

Yeah, I heard his comments yesterday when asked about this speech in the senate after Trump's impeachment acquittal. What a hypocrite. Edited title of thread.

What adjectives can one use to describe the train wreck that was the State of the Union address, given by the dumbest President ever to sit in the oval office?

Joe Scarborough called it a "tour de force" this morning. I haven't been watching much network news lately, but we do have Morning Joe on during breakfast.

Oh, and how about that republican response with Katie Britt? Sitting in her kitchen and supported by her husband Wesley and children Bennet and Ridgeway. Alabama sure has a couple of senators, don't they.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/mar/08/katie-britt-sotu-reaction

"Charlie Kirk, founder of the far-right Turning Point USA youth group, said: “I’m sure Katie Britt is a sweet mom and person, but this speech is not what we need. Joe Biden just declared war on the American right and Katie Britt is talking like she’s hosting a cooking show, whispering about how Democrats ‘dont get it’.”

"Among satirical responses, Tom Nichols, an anti-Trump conservative columnist, spoke for many when he said: “There is no way that this Katie Britt address does not end up as part of the Saturday Night Live cold open.”

Elsewhere, the gonzo filmmaker Tom Arnold said: “Katie Britt is so bad she couldn’t be in one of my movies.”

Julia Ioffe, Washington correspondent for Puck News, said: “Imagine you’re sleeping over at a friend’s house and you get up in the middle of the night to pee and you hear a weird sound so you follow it to the kitchen, where your friend’s mom is drunk, crying, and rambling about the national debt. Those are the vibes from Katie Britt right now.”

Andrew Weissmann, MSNBC legal analyst and former federal prosecutor, wrote: "I don't think Katie Britt is going to get the lead in the school play this year."

A Well-Received State Of The Union Address

"A former Trump economic adviser said Friday there is “no question” the U.S. has the strongest economy in the world after a strong February jobs report followed President Biden’s State of the Union address.

“One thing that Biden said last night that was true: It is true that the United States today has the strongest economy. There’s no question about it,” said Stephen Moore, a former Trump campaign economic adviser, on Fox Business Network."

And the Republican response? Did you actually stomach the bobby-soxer lollipop soap opera box with the little woman in the kitchen saying that Biden just doesn't get it?...
See my response in the other thread. She was so bad it was good and funny.

Jimmy Kimmel live at the Oscars deals with a heckler

Posted By Jim Moscheck

I guess Trump didn’t like the job Kimmel was doing as host of the Academy Awards show and he posted his review on Truth Social midway through the Oscar telecast.

“Has there ever been a worse host than Jimmy Kimmel at the Oscars?” he read to the audience.

“His opening was that of a less than average person trying too hard to be something which he is not, and never can be,” Kimmel deadpanned.

“Get rid of Kimmel and perhaps replace him with another washed up, but cheap, ABC ‘talent,’ George Slopanopoulos,” Kimmel continued, in an apparent reference to “This Week” host, George Stephanopoulos.

“Blah, blah, blah… Make America Great Again,” Kimmel said, as he revealed the author of the review as Trump, to wild applause.
The real message was posted by the ex-commander in chief on his Truth Social site less than an hour before Kimmel read it at the Oscars.

“Well, thank you, President Trump,” Kimmel said.

“Thank you for watching. I’m surprised you’re still up — isn’t it past your jail time?” Kimmel retorted.

But if the "accused" somehow ends up winning the election, what then? Shouldn't we believe what Trump has already told us he is going to do if elected?

Trump needs your money.

Posted By Jim Moscheck

Badly and Bigly.  He also needs money from major donors. But at what cost? Literally.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-bud-light-second-chance-dylan-mulvaney-super-bowl-ad/

In a post Tuesday on Truth Social, Trump called Anheuser-Busch's promo with Mulvaney "a mistake of epic proportions, and for that a very big price was paid."

But, he added, "Anheuser-Busch is not a woke company." He also went on to praise the beverage giant's efforts to support farmers and create jobs, including employment for U.S. veterans. "Anheuser-Busch is a Great American Brand that perhaps deserves a Second Chance?" he added.

This was after a 10K a plate fundraiser for Trump was announced.

https://www.thewrap.com/rachel-maddow-donald-trump-for-sale-tiktok-bud-light-msnbc/

“At 9:47 a.m., the lobbyist for Anheuser-Busch announces a $10,000 a plate fundraiser for Trump, 9:47 a.m. That same day at 3:30 p.m., Trump announces that he has changed his mind on Bud Light and conservatives should all drink Bud Light again,” Maddow said.

“All Anheuser-Busch had to do was announce they were going to do the fundraiser to get Trump to do what they wanted, to get Trump to call off what had been a years-long conservative culture war top line issue,” Maddow said. “That’s apparently what it took to end the great right-wing Bud Light freakout of 2023 and 2024. One fundraiser.”

As for TikTok: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-68538754

"Trump tried to ban TikTok when he was president. Now, there is a bipartisan bill in the works with massive congressional support — and Biden has already said he’ll sign — that if passed would effectively ban TikTok in America unless it is sold to a company without ties to Beijing.

Club for Growth, a conservative lobbying group that is close with Mr Trump, has taken a strong stand against the proposed TikTok ban.

Last week Mr Trump met a major donor to the group billionaire hedge fund manager Jeff Yass.

Trump however now opposes this bill and has said positive things about TikTok. Maddow tied this to a recent meeting between Trump and Jeff Yass, an American billionaire with a 13% stake in TikTok’s parent company Bytedance.

I wonder how much they paid for Trump to have this change of heart?

You can read about all the Hollywood Moguls who donated literally millions to the Biden reelection campaign.

Should be a criminal offense for all these Hollywood leftist Bigwigs to donate that much money.

Then again the Democrats are the party of the rich, elite, leftist Billionaires now aren't they?  smile
Exactly what policies did Biden turn 180º from after any of these campaign donations were made by any of these "Hollywood elites"? Please list them.

So, I guess now it is okay to go out and buy a case of Bud Lite? Right? Trump says so, so you'd better get in line.
