Demands On Clint Eastwood /Bradley Cooper

We went to see American Sniper today but it was sold out. Now, complaints against the film and subsequent blowback by civil rights groups and others have been leveled against producer Clint Eastwood and actor Bradley Cooper.
As far as I know, this movie is based upon a factual experience. So, how do you redirect complaints against a film maker and an actor? :S

If you saw the news on the senate meeting with McCain telling Code Pink where to go after they went after Henry Kissinger for something he supposedly did in an Argentina policy decision wherein they also called him a war criminal, you might recall Kissinger probably did more to ensure world peace by restraining Nixon who was drunk at the time and wanted to nuke North Vietnam:
