Last time I looked Liz Cheney was one of the most conservative members of the house, but now she's vilified, along with Adam Kinzinger, by sitting on the house committee, of which your party refused to bilaterally participate, looking into what happened on Jan. 6th. Is she still not a real conservative? The GOP is f'd up, man. Is this demagogue you all worship really worth it?
Hi Jim:

At least one email of significance from Jim Jordan to Meadows was apparently doctored in critical ways by Adam Schiff, for presentation to the select committee and the TV audience.  The GOP may be F'd up, but hey, they obviously have company.  I predict that nothing will come of the Jan 6 investigation, at least because because the congressmen in charge of the investigation are corrupt fools.

I'm not defending any Rs here, and I'm not defending any rioters who broke into the capital.  I am predicting that this issue will not be of importance in 2022 or 2024 to any persuadable voter.  For those issues of critical voter importance, look to the usual suspects - the economy, crime, immigration and maybe in 2022, abortion.

Talk about crummy options Greg!  I can not imagine ever voting from Trump again.  Once was enough for me.  I suppose "never say never" applies here though.  It does depend who else is running.  If HRC resurrects herself, I suppose I could see voting for Trump again.   Heaven help us if it comes to that!

I will participate in the process, as a delegate, campaign contributor, advocate, and voter, to try to get a better (IMHO) Republican than Trump on the ticket in 2024.  Within reason, not like I'm going to join anyone's campaign staff.

Here's a tip: anything emanating with Jim Jordan ought to be a red flag that the problem begins and ends with that name...
You don't believe it even though the evidence was right there in the article?
Would you believe it on a train?
Would you believe it in the rain?

Sorry I got carried away there - hope you have kids so you caught the joke.

Anyway, a staffer has admitted to doctoring the email.  I personally think the staffer is taking a fall for his boss, but we'll probably never know.

Hi James:

One difference is that I would hope for better from a US Congressman, whereas, anyone who believes a group like Principia has only themselves to blame.

It's no surprise that some would view the committee as nothing more than a political witch hunt, whereas others see it as a crusade of justice. I mainly want them to codify and fix the vague electoral college rules that can even lead people to think they can declare a national emergency to hold onto power. It will be enough to improve our weak systems that a narcissistic demagogue can exploit. I'm guessing one of these days there will be another Trump, and help us all if he's intelligent and competent instead of a blundering fool.
Hi James:  Yes, it is a distraction and does not affect the underlying reality of the riots and some people's behavior.  Still, it is these sort of distractions that rob a committee like this of credibility.  So it is a pretty big deal, IMHO.  Jim

That's not 1 question Richard, it is 100s of questions all rolled into one.  I've not been shy about the Trump policies (actually R policies) I approve of and the Biden policies (actually D policies) I disapprove of.  In fact, I bet that you yourself could make a list of dozens of (R) policies implemented under Trump I approve of and dozens more of (D) policies implemented under Biden I disapprove of, based upon your participation here.

What I want is a different R candidate.  Traditional R policies, with a different presidential candidate to implement them.

Finally, here's Jim Jordan on whether or not he spoke to Trump on Jan 6th. IN ALL HONESTY, JIM, DO YOU FIND THIS GUY TO BE A CREDIBLE WITNESS?:

Whether or not Jim Jordan is credible is not the issue.  You are diverting and deflecting.  The primary lies in the doctored email screen shot are that it was authored by a lawmaker, specifically implicating Jordan in context.  Also, the presentation of a bogus email as a "screen capture" is a fundamental lie.  Schiff has no defense for that sort of behavior.   I am guessing that a prosecutor who did something like this to get a criminal conviction would (A) have the conviction tossed out, and (B) be disbarred.  Schiff and his staff apparently think it is OK to deceive in this fashion, because the ends justify the means, in their opinion.  Do you agree?  Hopefully not.  Jim

I really could not disagree more with this statement.  I think it is blind hyper-partisans on the right like you and blind hyper-partisans on the left like Rod who have caused the political schism we are faced with today.  Social media and the instantaneous internet news cycle are you hyper-partisan's communication channels of choice.  Rather than the face to face discussion of previous generations, where name calling and insults were curbed in lieu of discussion and listening.  As evidence, I would present your participation style here.  The alternative media are your cheerleaders, and more and more the traditional press is too.  It is a tragic, and I hope relatively transient state of affairs.

IMO, there is not a dime's worth of difference between you and them.

I vote substance, issues, and conservative agenda, and you vote personality.

There was no "name calling" of you by me in the least.  That's simply a convenient excuse on your part, to not have a discussion.

I simply stated facts of the way you vote and now you are using the "name calling" line as an excuse for not being able (on your part) to answer straight forward Questions posed to you, because it will expose you as what I've observed of you, that of being a "personality" voter over a  "substance and issues" voter.

And because you want to vote that way, it is fine, many in society do, but don't try to sugar coat your method as being anything other than what it is.  smile
Do you reckon I voted for Trump in 2016 because of his charming personality?
