Odd, that I'm a Misogynist, juvenile, and childish according to you.

Is there any other name-calling of me that you wish to engage in or have you gotten your frustrations out of your system?  wink

I have to assume that you resorting to calling me names, is due to your inability (once again) to delineate any substantive reason as to why you voted for Joe Biden.

Since you find yourself in the position of being unable to give any cogent reason, aside from Personality, to vote for Joe Biden, I have to assume that you're a "personality" voter.

I do believe that I've given you more than ample opportunity to outline at least one Policy issue, conservative agenda bullet point, or political issue, for which you voted for Biden rather than Trump.

And since you've been totally impotent to do so over the course of several rebuttals, I feel confident in restating with accuracy that you have the mindset that the prosperity of the nation is less important to You, than your hatred of Donald Trump is.

Also since you haven't been able point to even 5 reasons that you voted for Biden over Trump related to policies, economics, or social issues, I'm forced to assume the worst about your motives in doing so.

I realize it makes you angry that I identify here the vacuous reasoning that you have/had for voting for Biden, based upon personality only, and no substantive reasoning for your vote.

However I just see you the way I've observed many women who voted for Bill Clinton, as a person who isn't very astute politically, and will vote against his own interest and the interests of American citizens' futures.

And there isn't any "misogyny" associated with my observance of that fact, because many women were interviewed, who indicated just that.  They said they voted for Bill Clinton because of his looks.

They like you vote for "personality" and "Looks" rather than substance.

Because your TDS has overpowered your common sense, there's no reason to get upset with me for pointing it out.  wink
I don't recall getting upset.  Based upon your writings, however, I do think you are a mysogynist, and I feel strongly that attributing a woman's vote for Clinton to his alleged good looks is mysogynistic.  I'm pretty sure that particular slur started with JFK, not Bill Clinton.  Feel free to disagree.  Perhaps you can post some data that shows a meaningful chunk of women voted for Clinton because of his looks?  Jim

p.s. On second thought, that particular slur probably started with the suffrage movement here and in Europe.  Mysogynistic men have always considered Women incapable of the depth of thought necessary to properly vote.

That is a reasonable summary, in my opinion.  I think I read that in the summer.  My sister in law is extremely vested in the coordinated insurrection story.  She was pretty upset that the more famous participants (guy with horns etc.) were not charged with treason and hung.  I've always thought it was just a spontaneous riot, and I have no problem with regular prosecution for normal crimes.  The stories that some rioters are being singled out for extraordinary retribution are troubling.  I have to admit that I have not investigated that angle enough to verify it.  For the record though, I oppose treating the capital rioters and the Portland class of rioters differently for the same crimes (and I have only heard that is the case from biased sources, so not sure if true).  Jim

And you being a "personality voter" rather than a "substance of issues voter" is the problem with some who claim to be Republicans these days.

I'll simply repeat that those like you, who Hate Trump more than you Love this country, are going to be the ones who bring it down from the inside out.

This is of course what Soviet Ruler Nikita Khrushchev predicted when he stated "We do not have to invade the United States, we will destroy you from within".

I believe he was correct and had apathetic Americans like you in mind when he made that statement.

However Leonid Brezhnev was even more prescient when he stated (while imagining those like yourself):

"You Americans are so gullible.  No, you won't accept communism outright, but we'll keep feeding you small doses of socialism, until you'll finally wake up and realize that you already have communism. We won't have to fight you. We'll so weaken your economy until you fall like overripe fruit into our hands".

I think both of them had guys like You in mind when they made those statements.

IMO both of them had You pegged perfectly.   wink

You seem to think that what is happening in the US today, is no big deal.

Insert JB bumper sticker slogan here:   "Our nation has a robust system of checks and balances and so we have nothing to worry about".
Note to Rich:  The Soviet Union collapsed 30 years ago.  I'm not sure I understand why you are quoting Khrushchev and Brezhnev, especially the bit about "We'll so weaken your economy until you fall like overripe fruit into our hands."  I hate to break it to ya Rich, but the Soviet Union died 30 years ago.  Since then, the US economy has been a marvel for those of us smart and talented enough to leverage our opportunities.

Seriously, 30 years ago I was young lawyer just starting out with a fresh state-school education, a great wife, a pickup truck, and a ton of ambition.  Now, I'm contemplating a very enjoyable retirement.   Sure inflation has me worried, something always has me worried about the economy, but are we overripe fruit ready to fall in some long-dead commie's hands?  I don't think so.  The USA and her economy have been very very very good to all of us since Brezhnev's remarkably short-sighted threat.  Well, apparently not to you.

Also, you seem to be chest-thumping a lot now a days about what a patriot you are,  relatively speaking; "those like you, who Hate Trump more than you Love this country, are going to be the ones who bring it down from the inside out..."  That sort of thing.  Well, I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt.  I presume you love our country and I presume you are genuinely worried.  Other than insult virtually everyone and pump out endless screeds on a tiny niche forum, what are you doing about our supposed demise?  Anything?

I'm open to persuasion of facts, but I've not seen any yet, most especially none provided by yourself to make me change my position.

If you're capable of having a discussion about it, then have at it, otherwise why in the world would I change my position when I have a helluva lot more knowledge about the subject than you seem to?

Am I supposed to change my position to pacify your ego?

Even if I was to cater to those like yourself who seem to believe that Glaciation is decreasing across the globe, you explain to me how that is somehow causing an increase in severe weather in the form of tornadoes, hurricanes, etc....?

Go ahead and school me on the subject.

I'm open to consideration of your theories.

Or am I supposed to deny the Knowledge I have accumulated over the years and simply lie to you and say "yes, severe weather events are occurring now", when it is clear that they aren't, and in fact are doing just the opposite, and decreasing in severity.

Should I say admit to that lie, in order to pacify your ego?

You explain it to me.
Dude, I'm not talking about climate change - as far as I can tell, you and I agree on the main points, as detailed in my Gretta Thunberg post.  I've moved on to a bigger point.  Has there ever, on this forum, been a topic where your view has evolved in the tiniest way, based upon input from a participant you initially disagreed with?  I'm saying no.

Rod - that is simply the legal standard that a judge is required to apply to a motion to dismiss.  It has nothing to do with whether Dominion is likely to win after the evidence comes in.  Jim

p.s.  In other words, the legal standard on a motion to dismiss, is this:  Assume everything the plaintiff (Dominion) alleges is true.  If they state a supportable claim for relief, the lawsuit proceeds.  On the other hand, if everything the plaintiff alleges is true, and they still don't have a case, then dismissal is proper.  This is why motions to dismiss are typically not granted.    You should know this since so many lawsuits claiming election fraud were brought with no evidence whatsoever, and then properly dismissed.

Dominion may win, may not.  It's tough to win on this sort of claim against the media.

I understand that but I think Fox News doesn't and I'm not talking about their lawyers and that's why they pushed so hard to have the case dismissed...
I'd guess that the executives at Fox have hired the best lawyers to fight this to the end.  Their exposure is pretty high.  The Motion to Dismiss was necessary and typical, but losing it is no reason to panic if you are Fox.  They still have their freedom of press type defenses.  The burden on Dominion is really high.  It will be interesting how it plays out.  I personally would make no predictions on this one.

It strikes me that I'm not incorrect regarding all my worries about this country, and it strikes me that I'm not wrong for voting for Trump and against the Democrat Marxists and their machinery that are destroying this country.

Go ahead and persuade me.  smile

And one last thing, You're apparently satisfied with your Vote for Biden, and you apparently have no misgivings about your vote.  Ok fine, then OWN your decision to put these losers in office who are destroying everything that this country was built upon.  The ideas of this new nation back in 1776 that were Loved and cherished, which the average Democrat politician and their constituents HATE about this country.

Do you agree with them that this nation is FUNDAMENTALLY RACIST WITH ALL INSTITUTIONS INGRAINED IN RACISM?

That's what they believe, and they are winning in getting all their agendas passed.
You voted them in.  NOT ME!
Do you agree with them that this nation is FUNDAMENTALLY RACIST WITH ALL INSTITUTIONS INGRAINED IN RACISM?  No

What I'm not doing is VOTING in morons on the left, as you did, then telling the world how you don't regret your vote.

Good for you.  This is a fact.  The Democrats that YOU voted into office simply because your ego couldn't handle voting for a sensible candidate, will cause the demise of this nation.

I've challenged you a number of times now, at least 5x and you haven't been able to tell me why you voted for Biden and against Trump, based upon any economic issues, or any political agenda issues, or any conservative ideologies.

And you've yet to put up ONE single reason other than "personality issues".

OK, that's your prerogative, but don't get upset when I point out that fact.

You have no answers whatsoever.  YOUR Democrats are running 15 major cities around the country that have the HIGHEST Crime going on that they have ever seen.

These Democrat run cities have the highest murder rate EVER recorded in EACH Of these 15 cities.

And you're going to tell me that it is just a coincidence??

Nope, you've been VERY quiet about everything bad going on in this nation that is being caused SOLELY by Democrats who want to defund the police, destroy economies, look the other way at smash and grab violent attacks on businesses, ALL happening because YOUR Democrat losers are LETTING it happen.

That is sad, but the fact is you and those Like you gave us these losers.
I voted for one D last election, and he is not running any cities.  As you ought to know it is not Rs like me who vote in Chicago, SF, NO, Portland and so on.  It is the Ds who live in those cities.  It is weird that I have to explain this to you.  Jim

This is simply not plausible.  Fox tried to get the case dismissed because they have significant exposure to losing.  No one ever knows for sure they'll lose at trial.  Juries are hard to predict and Fox will have some good 1st Amendment type defenses.

Fox will do an ongoing calculation of risk of loss, range of damages, damage to reputation and so on as this progresses toward trial.  If that calculation crosses a "red line," they will try hard to settle, and they will pay a ton to mitigate the risk.  The decision is going to be based 100% on a financial risk analysis, no matter what any pundit might say.
