More profit selling the trees rather than cutting them down and making products useful to the community. Chances are the developers will resell the trees to some nearby corporation (HINT) for turning into lumber and paper products and both will make seconary profits! Oh, forgot, local corporation gets tax writeoff for selling rather than harvesting profit making materials. :S

Developer probably gets tax writeoff for harvesting trees prior to obtaining full size due to loss of potential income from houses if waiting for trees to mature! :C

Not familar with AN, but some mounts and DSC's have both north and south polar alignments. Are you set for the correct hemisphere?

wood tubes - observations and questions

Several years ago there was one true artist in wood tubes posting almost daily, he even gave tips on calculating cutting angles and making suitable jigs for assembly. IF I remember his name it will be posted. Not quite the intricate stuff Normand Fullum does but beautiful, functional work.

Your photos would do justice in Rock & Ice or Climbing. Great shots of what it is to actually climb, not just a close up of one of the big names in the sport!

I remember when Hillary and Norgay topped Everest. I suspect we heard about the feat weeks after. I would love to climb myself but now that I have the time and money for expenses some 60 years of working for a living mean I can only enjoy QUALITY work like these photos you posted, the injuries from "normal" life have taken their toll.

Thank you for making me feel as if I was actually there!

POSSIBLY(?), just basic generic eyepieces and the 10 and 20 refer to the approximate magnification when used with the telescope they were designed to be sold with.

My Genesis, everyone else brings their 8 inch plus SCTs and reflectors.

Biggest suprise is how often the comment is made that the refractor image is the nicest to look at. On a good day I just keep quiet as I KNOW several of the groups instruments are not only bigger, but very good optically if the viewer takes the time to focus and study what he is being shown.
