LXD90-ACF

Are the ACF optics easier to fabricate than the SCT optics? They still use a spherical primary but now the secondary is hyperboloid(?), which would be more difficult than the spherical SCT secondary. How is the corrector plate on the ACF relative to an SCT corrector plate as far as fabrication goes? Success in the business is being able to run these things with minimal hand work.

TeleVue Eyepiece Collection

It really depends on the telescope.
I have a C14 and rarely use anything with a fl. shorter than 12mm. I got rid of my barlow lens.

26 VS 31 Nagler?

I have both and use them. The 26mm is a lot lighter, somewhat smaller field, but then the background is darker if light pollution is an issue.

Ethos vs. Nagler

Posted By Daniel McConaughy

Not only is it sharp and has good eye relief, I think it's easier to center the eye on it and it's more comfortable to use.

My seeing, doesn't allow me to use the 13mm with a 16" f-12 Cass as much as I'd like, but with a Newtonian, you should be fine.

I'm looking forward to getting the 17mm Ethos. I wonder what the maximum focal length will be with that design..
