I watched it from my home in Chula Vista. I really enjoyed it, especially when the seperation occured a huge plume fanned out. It did not leave a spectacular trail, but left a big cloud of exaust below the crescent mood which looked great. It appeared to travel as such a low angle I wondered if it had trouble escaping the atmosphere. Tracked it online after and glad to see it's success. The satelite probably has a close up of Kim now

I have a related question. I have the same Orion SVP mount (which I hyper-tuned) on a pier and was considering a Meade 10 SCT. (around 25 lbs)). Is this just wishful thinking or could the mount have a chance? Thanks
