Dear all,

Jupiter was imaged when it was about 45 degree high. The atmosphere was not stable but I just tested the equipment setting.

CZ 12.5-inch Dob with F5 primary mirror on top of Tom O EQ Platform. Drift alignment was done for better polar alignment.

Taken at 10 fps; shutter speed 1/33; gain 20%; saturation 50%; grama 5%. 2x Powermate with effective F-ratio at F10.

1200 frames stacked in Registax 3.

Next time I shall try to image at F20-F25 and to add IR-cut filter when Jupiter is near the zenith.

Dear all,

After some prolong period of clouds, rain and fog, better weather
(transparency 7/10; seeing 6/10) arrived on Saturday 21-05-2005 light but the Moon age was 14. However, I still wanted to try out imaging with TEC140 F7 APO which arrived some months ago.

I have added Robo Focus while retaining the 10:1 dual speed FT
focuser on the right hand side. Fine-tune focusing was slow as I did
not have any autofocusing software at hand at the moment.

Here is an image of M27 taken at UT20.30. 15 images of 1 min each
unguided (I have set up my friend STV but had no time to calibrate as it was near sunrise at 4.30 am when the images were taken). Taken by Canon 350D (unmodified) over EM200 Temma 2 mount.

The night was very humid : 90% RH at 23 degree Celcius. Luckily, the
long dew shield with home-made extended 8-inch paper dew shield
protected the objective lens from dewing.

Image size slightly cropped. Stacked and slight processing only. No
flat field processing has been done yet.

Dear all,

This is the 1st capture of M16 by me and my astro friend Petming, using TEC140 F7 refractor on top of EM200-Temma2 mount.

We were lucky to have about 2 weeks of clear nights in early July broken by 2-3 nights in-between. Lots of opportunity to try out various astro equipments.

8 images of 5 minutes each at ISO800 taken by unmodified Canon 350D.

Filter : LPS-P2
Exposure : 29 images at 30s each, captured and stacked in CCDSoft v5.

The images are underexposed and therefore the signals are insufficient. But anyway, my 1st try on Helix.

Dear all,

Processing is not satisfactory. Just treat it as one exercise.

Dear all,

This image was taken as one single shot 5 minute exposure at ISO800 by unmodified 350D with TEC140 F7 APO on top of EM200 on 11-07-2005.

Just a test picture of capturing and processing but it is interesting to see what a 5 minute exposure can do.

Dear all,

The M42 and part of Running Man were captured by Petming using TEC140 F7 APO with 300D at ISO 800 on 13-09-2005 .

The images (1 image of 6 min and 2 images of 3 min) are stacked and processed by me. Some noises are visible, as I find that the noises in 300D are harder to remove.
