I notice a number of these Guen Sheng Taiwanese Plossls for sale and wondered how good these might be. I have purchased the GSO 2 inch barlow and it is an exceptional performer in every respect.

Just got an e-mail announcing the new LXD75 which they think may replace the LXD55...features such as PEC, higher precision gears, more substantial tripod legs are just a few of the features mentioned.

Just got a flyer from University Optics touting their new O.P.S. Orthos. Here's basically what they say
"One element of the Ortho design is coated with a proprietary filterdesigned to maximize contrast for planetary observations. This is an exclusive coating formulation by Sirius Optics made only for University Optics. However the benefits of this filter coating are not limited to just the planets as the moon and even star fields are enhanced by its use. These exclusive Orthos are made in Japan, coated, hand assembled and tested here in the USA. They are available in 9mm, 12.5mm and 18mm focal lengths."

New Burgess 93MM Flourite Refractor Is a Beauty!

I was surprised this AM to find a picture of the new flourite refractor in my mailbox. This scope appears to have much, much higher fit, finish and mechanicals than the Orion 100MM ED and at a lower price...now if the optics are as good as advertised this will be a killer scope at a killer price ($899). This could finally be an example of Bill producing something extraordinary...I for one can't wait for some reviews when this product gets released.

Moonlite FS2-S Focuser For Orion 80ED

Here's a focuser of extraordinary quality and built like a work of art...I ordered one of these for my new 80ED...Moonlite states that these are designed for all of the Synta Refractors...I carefully removed the stock focuser and the FS2 slips on PERFECTLY with no adapter required (making this far cheaper than the FeatherTouch and much cooler as well)
The connection is outstanding with no play whatsoever...go to the Moonlite website www.focuser.com for details but this product exceeded my every expectation!
