No thoughts at all on this? Wow, I know it's a new product but someone has to have an opinion.

DSLR as an Autoguider

Posted By Shawn Hinzey

Also, shouldnt it be possible to simply use images directly from a DSLR to guide themselves through software??? Assuming u have software that outputs camera pics directly to a computer, this shouldnt be a problem. There IS software that does this, but I've never heard of one autoguiding at the same time. kind of perplexing as all you'd need was crosshairs and the proper coding and translation to the mount. could all be integrated into one prog.

Achromat technique: RGB photography...

Posted By Shawn Hinzey

Per looking at those curves I see no reason why RGB wouldnt benefit an achromat emmensely. I've actually posted this technique a while back and got a positive response. SUPPOSEDLY there are some really great RGB and narrowband achromat photos out there. Narrowband especially of course.

Achromat technique: RGB photography...

Anyone know what kinds of effects an RBG technique would have with a color one-shot camera?? say an mx5c... A few one-shot colors have monochrome outputs but I'm not sure what exactly is going on inside the camera. Obviously I'll be doing RBG, but would be nice to image in color every once and a while. Is there a "best of both worlds" technique for this?
