I have been thinking about what the best general purpose astronomy telescope is under $3,000. Two of my lifetime favorites have been the Tak FS 102 and the TEC 6. I no longer own either and am in the market for the perfect general purpose scope. Any thoughts?

I am buying a Stellervue 80mm 9d750mm fl scope here on astromart and was thinking of picking up one of these mounts with the maple tripod. Are they good alt/az mounts? Thanks in advance fore your opinions!

I have been on the list for a 4 inch scope for several years. As I understand it, there are no longer any plans to produce a 4 inch scope at AP. Does being on this list qualify me for the 130mm list, or do I have to start over and sign up for that list seperately? Thanks!
