My job is not in question. I will just go to work for the UN troops staying nearby when they come out of hiding. No seriously, I should have explained it a bit better that my paid gig is already supported by your taxes. For lack of a local agency with jurisdiction, we are supported by the Feds. But what affects us, affects all as a whole.

I will not get into who I work for because I have a suspicion it will just make you even more irate. I will say that we support a largely rural/wilderness area, and provide a service which no one else can provide. Lot's of companies have tried to take over the contract, but so far, we have always kept our organization intact.

If you are speaking for a brother firehouse I would hope you at least are an active member. I get the impression that you are not. You are going to really hate my next suggestion. We should have a nationalized Fire Service, so that standards of coverage are the same for all of the US and emergency response are equally provided.

But many people (most likely you too) will not want to support it, they will say it is "Socialist". I'll bet most cities and states would probably go for it because it gets the monkey off their back.

I still think you are a very funny, funny man. However, we are getting off topic. I could argue this silliness all day with nothing ever having been accomplished other than wasting both our time and probably giving you a heart attack in the process.

At least we do agree on one thing. We seem to both like punishing ourselves by standing around in the dark, looking at dim smudges in the far off distance.

That is the point I have been dancing around on. Right wing/Left wing doesn't matter to me. I have been a Libertarian for most of my life, only recently have I been drifting away from them since so many neo-cons are taking it over. I hate dogma of any kind. When someone presents me with something I perceive to be dogma, I tend to argue a bit. That is what this is all about though, Free Speech. My views are not quite the same as a regular American, due in part to my Amerindian background.

Jeffery was coming off to me as one of the crazy UN hating right wingers I have as neighbors, living in the National Forest like I do. These are people that would rather shoot off all the natural elk here than change their ranching practices because the elk are eating their cows' grass (The Sagebrush Rebellion). They spout that same spiel. Those people really make me angry. I did not mean to give you a coronary.

You guys are cool with me whatever your views, as long as we agree we like 'scopes.

Haven't changed my story one bit. Just haven't told all of it. As far as being better than thou; that a whole story in itself. And yes, I am something special. I have lived a life far beyond a regular person. I make no apologies. Haven't heard hate-monger before, but that is cool. I will add it to the list.

Next time I see you on the 'rez, I will say hi! I will let you go there though because that place depresses me.

I hope someone got some entertainment from this. It is starting to bore me. I will remember not to poke the bears when I come through here again.

Legalizing drugs is a Libertarian thing, if I remember correctly, not a Liberal thing. Liberals would want to regulate it.

The UN is the least of our worries.

I know lots of UN haters. They have stupid signs like "UN Free Zone" in their yard and constantly tie up the courts near my home with frivolous cases trying to get the National Forests privatized. A lot of them belong to groups with names ending in "militia"

I think manned space is extremely important. Getting us off this rock is the only hope we have to survive. One comet strike and we are all gone. It would be a shame to have to go extinct because people are too cheap to support it.
