Why is Astromart so slow on AOL

I don't understand, aside that it's everywhere and you're a traveling businessman, would anyone want to use that as their ISP!

All it does is place another interfering interface between the user and the internet.

DUMP IT.

Bush Hawks Up to Something

Posted By Darrell Fichtl

Rod:

I think that you can expect something like this from hsuB and gang.

It'll be something like that, or maybe even popping up Osama bin Laden at the last minute.

Frankly it wouldn't amaze me at all if they have him in a can somewhere just waiting for the right moment.

What ever led you to the conclusion that I'm for the Democratic party? shocked

Is it because I sometimes disagree with your radial Limbaugh outlook? grin

As far as being "liberal" it seems to me you are the one who wants to "take care of the world and make sure that it goes right (correctly)!"

If history has shown anything it has told us very clearly that nations with huge militarys don't endure. Trying to make sure that the world runs correctly is a fools task.

That, to me, is what hsuB is trying to do. It never has run like anyone feels it should and never will. The Greek Empire didn't last. Neither did the empires of the Syrians, Egyptians, Romans, English, Germans and if we're not careful they'll add the good old USA to that list.

How about minding our own business, protect ourselves, stop trying to:
1. Take care of every bleeding heart foreign problem.
2. Mine the world for money.

Lousy Weather

Posted By Darrell Fichtl

Although the monsoons came through Green Valley, AZ today last night was beautiful. I walked out the front door and it was black as pitch. The sky above was a wonder to behold. The Milky Way extend almost from horizon to horizon.

The monsoon season is leaving and we'll have great viewing till May.

I'll be doing volunteer work at Veritas (Very Energetic Radiation Imaging Telescope Array System) at Mt. Hopkins checking the mirrors that go on the four telescopes.

Since there are 350 per telescope that ought to keep me out of trouble for awhile.

Police officer support for Bush; news media silent

Posted By Darrell Fichtl

It's not about news!!!

It's about ratings.

We quit watching the local and network news many years ago. I concluded sometime ago that what was on the news seldom, if ever, affected me. The one exception was the weather and they were wrong 50% of the time anyway. For that I got a weather station. It's more reliable.

Watching the news is an addiction. Try dropping it for awhile. For the first few weeks it'll worry you silly! After that, you find you really don't give a damn.
