I'll start it.  I'll go ahead and concede since the polling numbers between the 2 Presidents at simultaneous points in their Presidency, apparently matters a great deal to you.

Perhaps it cements some sort of validation for you in your mind that you did the correct thing in voting for Biden.  That probably matters to you, or I could be wrong and am simply making an assumption about your need for validation.  I'll concede right now, that I could be ALL WET on that thought.

Let me explain how I feel about my vote.  Personally, I couldn't give 2 shits how Trump is polling, and I couldn't care less if he was polling poorer than Biden was at this point in his Presidency.

Furthermore, I couldn't give 2 shits as to whether or not I rec'd validation and pats on the head from you or any other Republican here on this forum or anywhere, in which I need to justify my reasoning for voting for Trump.

I'll proudly say it.  I will vote for Trump over ANY Other candidate for President, if he's running.  I'll be happy and ecstatic to vote for Trump.  Now I'm saying this, with great respect for Mel, Greg, Steve, and Darian.  And if they choose not to vote for Trump, that's their prerogative and I won't lose an ounce of sleep, nor will I chastise them for not voting for him.

I don't think I need to even comment on your persuasion in voting.  I'm just going to blanketly ASSUME with great odds in my favor that you will NEVER vote for Donald Trump.

Let me confirm something that i feel about you by asking this question or perhaps I'll just make a statement that you can confirm with a Yes or No.

My guess is that you would gladly and happily vote For Alger Hiss, knowing the facts about him now, if he was running against Donald Trump.  Is that a reasonable assumption on my part?  wink

A simple yes or no will suffice.

Now I think I've made my position clear have I not?  I hope you think I have.

Here's my Big, Bold question to you.

Are the Republicans currently engaged in voter suppression against the Democrat voter, the Democrat Minority, blacks and hispanics, as Rod and others have clearly accused them?

Yes or no will suffice
and we can go from there.

Have a great day!   smile

P.S.  Yes, Biden is doing better in the polling than Trump was at this point in his Presidency.
No one really cares about the polling, it is just a fun topic to talk about in the same way I like talking about the NFL when the Broncos don't suck or Purdue basketball.  This is a discussion forum after all.  I think most everyone here knows the limitations of polls.  (See James' post immediately above.)

Of course, I really care about Purdue basketball.  Did you see the Boiler's double overtime road win over Illinois on Monday?  Good as it gets.

  3. Gas prices.
  4. The inevitable October surprise.
  5. What is the state of the Biden agenda?
  6. Will redistricting and the more restrictive voting laws passed in the wake of the 2020 election matter?
Absolutely.  Especially 1-3 in my opinion.

More things that may affect mid-terms:

7. The state of the NY AG investigation into Trump's fraudulent business dealings and do his lenders call their loans?
8. The progress and results of the 1/6 committee.
9. Have enough unvaccinated Trump supporters in swing states and areas died to matter?
Exactly - have you quit beating your wife James?  A simple yes or no will suffice.  If you are man enough to answer at all!  Or, are you hiding underneath your desk again?  Or wearing skirts?  I knew you wouldn't answer.  You never do.  Sheesh, you merely posted links to a dozen scientific journals contradicting my anecdotal source, but still I think your only trick is attacking the source!  Loser.

But seriously, presidential approval is also correlated closely with your issues 1-9+.  This is why the presidential approval rating has historically been a good proxy for all of these issues, weighted and blended together into a national mood, and thus a good proxy for predicting the general outcome of midterm elections.

It really doesn't matter to me but I'll ask again anyway.

Voter suppression?  No, not as I would define the words "voter suppression."  I think the D's are trying to pass laws that will favor their net turnout and the R's are trying to pass laws that will favor their net turnout.  Both sides are grossly exaggerating the fundamental nature of the reforms the other side favors.

And, for what it is worth, I would not have voted for Alger Hiss.

I also know that you have no interest in civil dialog.   I was not calling you out, I was mocking you.

Of course.  Meanwhile, I'm wasting time supplying the local crank with fodder for his narcissistic delusions.

So again, I'm wondering what was Uncivil about my question.

I realize you hate Donald Trump and so I wondered if you hated him to the point that you would vote for anyone, aside from Trump including Alger Hiss.

After all, in the mind of the left here, Donald Trump IS worse than Alger Hiss.  They compare him to Adolf Hitler, so I assumed that maybe you WOULD in fact vote for Alger Hiss if he were running against Donald Trump.

They would IMO.  wink

Are you now playing the victim card?  It sure seems like it.  Its either that or you don't like answering simple questions or being challenged on your politics..  wink
(A) I answered your question.  Where is the dialog?
(B) I called James a loser.  More specifically I called James a loser while mimicking your style.

Not only lose it but have me actively against him) I am not a huge fan of Kemp but I would take another term with him over Abrams any day of the week..... Trump needs to let that mouth of his sleep on that bullshit.

2. Did Trump ever actually fall below 33% approval? If he did I dont recall it. I tend to only follow the Qunnippiac poll even though it is biased slightly left.....if memory serves me Trump never fell past 37 in that one.....
I see that Q had Trump at 33% at the very end.  https://theweek.com/speedreads/960241/trumps-approval-rating-falls-11-points-majority-voters-hold-responsible-capitol-riot  And 34% earlier:  https://www.politico.com/story/2017/06/07/trump-approval-rating-quinnipiac-poll-239250

If Q has a database of presidential approvals over time, I can not find it.

My theory is that 33%-34% is effectively the floor for any president.  Trump, Biden whomever.  At the 33/64 point of non-support, they still have their base, but virtually no independents and no members of the opposite party.  The polling pretty much can not get worse.
