Just the ridiculousness of the thought that the union was nearly lost on Jan 6th because of a protest that turned to violence (albeit without guns) or that Trump masterminded an insurrection is laughable.....Trump is a lot of things including an ego-maniac but capable of planning and mounting a successful or even unsuccessful real insurrection? That is a hard no......Thats just nuts.

It *IS* a national embarrassment for the country and many here on this forum are absolutely giddy over it. I question why I bother conversing with them about anything.....

If this is just going to be an election about how Trump was screwed, I may vote for the GOP, but with little enthusiasm. If Trump actually runs again (or someone like DJT JR), I'll hold my nose again and vote for and support the Dems.

Depends on whether Trump runs again.....if he does unless I see some seriously compelling evidence I cant ignore and I have not as yet, he will probably get my vote. Its kinda funny, Trump got my vote the 1st time because I was voting against Hillery......Not because I particularly wanted him for President. It took about 6 months for me to come around. I didnt like everything he did but he did accomplish a lot I supported in the face of a lot of opposition. There was a time when I might have voted either party depending on the candidate but that time has long gone. The left has not produced a Presidential candidate I would consider voting for in decades.

That said, if Trump doesnt run I hope we get someone worth having but it is likely they will get my vote regardless.

At Least 6 Justices still believe in the Bill of Rights

Thankfully 6 Justices on the SCOTUS still believe in the US Constitution BILL OF RIGHTS.

You have a unalienable RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS.

It doesn't say in the Constitution that you may ONLY Protect yourself when you are AT HOME.

That is an Asinine concept. They US Constitution does not say "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed...... as long as you're at home watching TV"

And to those who are going to go insane about this ruling, My words to you are "deal with it", you don't get to decide that I need to jump through YOUR hoops to be able to exercise my RIGHT under the Constitution.

Got it?

I wont say my faith in the USSC is completely restored but they certainly came down on the right side of this one......

On edit: I guess you could argue the woman who gets raped should have been packing to ward off her attacker herself.

No they didnt......they simply gave the decision back to the states where it belonged in the 1st place. There are extremist states on both sides no doubt but hopefully most will settle on common sense laws where abortion is concerned.
