In 10x50 binos, Jupiter and Venus were very easy from central Ohio here. Venus was naked eye if you looked in the right spot. I saw it about 4:20pm.

Venus in the Daytime

Wow, you are braver than me with it being so close to ole Sol!

I love catching it in the daytime with binos. I've taken them to work (college campus) and will catch it at lunch sometimes and people look at me like I'm nuts staring at the clear blue sky. No birds or trees anywhere close, yet I'm staring all the same.

Thanks for pointing these out! I'll have to check on it. I'm guessing from my location in central Ohio that they are going to be much more difficult due to their lower declination and the fact that our southern skies are pretty terrible from Columbus.

If I get a chance soon, I'll definitely look for it from our dark sky site.
