Both candidates strategy was very public before the debate. 

Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) said.

“It wasn’t a hidden strategy. [The Harris campaign] were literally telling people, ‘Hey, we’re gonna go out there and we’re gonna try to get under Donald Trump’s skin. This is the strategy. We’re gonna get under his skin, and we’re gonna let Donald be Donald,’” the lawmaker said….”

And

“The Donald Trump strategy was also very public. ‘We’re gonna make sure we don’t let her get under our skin,’” Moskowitz went on. “And literally, 11 minutes in, she goes, ‘crowd size,’ and he goes: ‘Viktor Orbán. They’re eating puppies and cats.’”

I’d say the Harris campaign has lots of sound bites for this ads, but it they ran them now they’d never get Trump to agree to another debate.

Karl Rove wrote in the WSJ his opinion of the debate. Having trouble posting a link on my phone but here was his final thoughts. 

“In conclusion, Rove writes that while the debate will have an effect on the election, it is probably not as much as the Harris campaign hopes for, nor the Trump team fears.”

“But there’s no putting lipstick on this pig,” says Rove. “Mr Trump was crushed by a woman he previously dismissed as ‘dumb as a rock’. Which raises the question: What does that make him?”

Haven't been here for a few moments and was wondering what was up here, but now I see the screamer is also back. With a vengeance. I thought he vowed to stay away until after the election so he could then rub all the leftist faces here in Trump’s victory?

The fact he is supporting and echoing JD Vance’s racist lies isn't surprising, it’s who he has always been.

Numerous threads screaming about this and that. No one but Rod and Dave to even bother to respond to some of his rants, the rest go unread. I guess things really don’t change,, do they?

Oh well, I’ve wasted my money on frivolous things before and it’s only $16. I paid less that that for the best sushi I’ve ever had yesterday in Hokodate. We have a sea day today and will be in Tokyo Friday and Saturday. The dollar is pretty strong vs the yen so this is costing less than I planned. 


My son’s band is even better than the last one and I’m enjoying watching them every night, although going out every night and having a few drinks is not my usual mode of operations. He got a promotion on this tour and is now the music director, he got a modest raise but the biggest perk for him was an upgraded cabin.

Yesterday was my late wife’s birthday and we visited a Buddhist Temple where I left a bit of Deborah’s cremated remains. Also left some in Alaska at Hubbard glacier and plan to sprinkle some on Waikiki beach when we get there in about three weeks or so. Next year I’m taking a road trip to the American west and plan to do the same at all of our favorite places in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, California, Wyoming, and Montana on the way back. 

I will not be visiting Richard, although he thinks I secretly like him, but sure would like to meet up with others here and maybe buy them a beer or even do some astronomical 
observatin’ as I make my way around the country. Colorado will be my first stop visiting relatives and friends in Denver, Littleton, and Winter Park. Also have friends in Phoenix and California. I’ll mostly be mostly camping, which my wife hated, a few hotels, and staying with my friends. Deb liked to camp when we were younger but her idea of roughing it the past two decades was when the hotel didn’t have a hot tub.

Well gee Rich. What do you think about Liz and Dick Cheney? How about the group of more than an hundred who have endorsed Harris which includes former Trump administration officials, as well as officials who served under former Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush. They say your boy is unfit for office.

Hi Rod, Saying I’m enjoying myself is a tricky thing. Yes, the ports have been great and it’s so much fun to hang out with my son exploring these places together. I’m having a little trouble keeping up with the kids in the band, but I’m walking , a lot, and even been trying to work off the calories in the gym, although not as much as I’d like. 

The many sea days have been tough leading up to yesterday. I’ve really been missing Deborah like crazy. Thankfully, I guess, there aren’t many single women on board to deal with, but there have been one or two that I’ve talked to, but I’m certainly not looking for anything like that. It’s mostly retired elderly couples, I’d say 90% of the passengers are older than me. By a lot.

BTW I called Davis a weirdo long before Walz stole it and made it popular describing the MAGA ticket.
