LOL I aint bad, but I am serious when I feel threatened.....led a somewhat colorful life before age (and in fact astronomy, no joke) calmed me down a bit. Have some scars to prove it as well. My Dad was tough, he started early on reinforcing me with the philosophy that if you think there is going to be a fight, throw the 1st punch and the last one. In fact when I was in school he tanned my hide 2 days in a row for not winning a fight, I had to fight the same boy three times to finally get the last lick in lol.....the big ones sometimes take longer to realize its not going to be over till its over.....as for pics. This is me cooling off on the porch this past summer after hand digging a 150 foot trench (at 68 years old) for a new power line to the observatory.

I remember the last leg of the dig I finally grabbed a trencher.

Looking back, I was about 44 years old at the time.  I look back on it now, and I'm kind of amazed I was able to do that foundation with a shovel and my back.

I can tell you this much, at almost 62 years, I wouldn't even consider it today.

You have more guts than I do!   smile

I do plan to re-roof my house next summer doing a total tear off and re-roof.  NOT looking forward to it, but it will save me about 7 Grand.  That type of money is enough incentive for me to take a week off and do the job myself.

Plus, I know it will be done right.

I don't know if you work on cars Greg, but I'm guessing that most likely you do.  I replaced my Clutch master cylinder from up top inside the engine compartment which wasn't too damn bad, but when I bought the clutch kit and thought I would do it myself, I started in and after a half day, I called a mechanic on Craigslist and had him end up redoing it.

He only charged $400 labor for 8 full hours and he did a great job.

The only thing I did after that was to  dump and refill the tranny fluid.

That was included in his bid and he didn't have time that day.

Rather than pay $200 labor at Best Western Transmission, I did it myself.

Easy peasy.

From now on though, any time I have to crawl under a car, I'll leave it to the other guys.  They're experts anyway.  tongue

On average about 10 inches deep and maddock wide. Thankfully it wasnt rocky soil lol. I do work on my own vehicles although it is not something I enjoy. Been driving the same Ram 3500 diesel since 06 and no one has touched it but me outside of putting tires on. In fact I am about to tear the entire dash out including removing the steering column (required to get the dash out) just to replace a leaking $50 heater core. Bypassed it a few months ago but I am not going to spend a winter with no heat in the truck lol.....I have to use it too much delivering kitchens and I dont like being cold lol. I hear you about working under one though. I put a new clutch/pressure plate in it a couple years ago and that was a PITA.....That tranny is HEAVY.....I was able to use my motorcycle lift to get it done though.....

Abrams shot herself in the foot big time on GA vs TN game day. lol

The south is and always has been all about football, particularly college football. So on gameday when half the state here is wearing black and red in support of the Bulldogs including the current Gov, Abrams goes on TV doing an interview wearing TN orange....surely she is not that tone deaf? LOL

The one where I got cut was at a bike rally....not Sturgis though. The other was a mugger while I was walking down the street minding my own business after a computer/electronics trade show in downtown Atlanta, I owned a retail computer store in Athens GA some years ago before places like Best Buy were a reality. Most of my business was dealing with University of GA bid system for bulk purchases. It made sense to have a walk in location as well as an assembly/shipping/receiving location since I had to have that.

GREG needs to get out and vote on Dec 6.  He needs to vote 50,000 X.

That would assure a Walker win!!   grin

i stuffed as many boxes as i could carry with my 3500 ram pulling a 7x16 trailer....lol

they called it too soon and it ended up in a run off.....but thankfully Abrams got handed her walking papers. i am not a huge Kemp fan but i am happy he kept the seat.

Hopefully Trump will have a rally somewhere else than Georgia the day before the runoff, just like he did on Jan 6th. grin

when i searched for results whatever site it was that i saw had called it for Walker.....obviously too soon. Not sure what your point is....i] dont watch either of those 2 propaganda sites you mentioned lol
