Semi-same title and sentiments as last year's thread. I hope you all have a blessed holiday season and New Year. 

It's been one tough year on me, but I made it through last night's church service, my wife's favorite, without breaking down. It'll be seven months on the 26th since she's been gone and I miss her so much. The grief has been deep lately and comes out of nowhere. One minute I'm fine and the next I'm a wreck. Helps to have family around, but it's the time when I'm alone that it really comes out.

Anyways, not meaning to be a downer and hope everyone has a great day today no matter what you are doing. This picture was taken two years ago on one of our favorite Christmases. My daughter unfortunately came down with Covid and we had to cancel travel plans to be with them, so Deborah and I spent the day together enjoying each others company, made an awesome breakfast and dinner, and spent to day spinning some old and new vinyl LP's.

Thanks Jim. It's been weird all day with me taking on both roles and doing everything she used to do for the grand kids plus what I used to do. We were a good team.

Just been something missing and I think my family doesn't want to say anything in case I can't handle it. I'm fine and when I get through this I'll be stronger. At least I hope.

You know, pressing matters that the country needs to solve. Maybe we'll have an invasion? Greenland's population is only around 56,000 people, making it the world's least populated country so it shouldn't be too hard, right? I suppose Canada would obviously be next? LOL
