Those are some pretty alarming numbers. Vote them all out.
Not to live in the past too much, but for at least 4 years HRC was the face of the Democratic party:

I doubt that you were a big Clinton fan, but still, "denying or questioning the outcome of the last election" seems to me to be a thin reason for voting them all out...

He got that right; they'd still vote for him and Greg and Rich would be first in line...
PS: The latest from the heroine of the GOP, Marjorie Taylor Greene, who had to this say today about Kevin McCarthy: “I think that to be the best Speaker of the House and to please the base, he’s going to give me a lot of power and a lot of leeway,” Greene said. “And if he doesn’t, they’re going to be very unhappy about it. I think that’s the best way to read that."
That's today's GOP...
Rod, from reading your posts, I guess that you've got a serious crush on Marjorie Taylor Green!

I think I'll just stick to the sports section of the newspaper for now.

Seriously, this looks like sunset in America to me, which I pray is not the case.
Russ:

It is not the case.  Think of the people you know.  Are they desperate power-hungry maniacs like so many elected officials?  Like I mention now and then, the system is more robust than the current crop of bad politicians.

I was listening to CNN in the car this morning* when the news from Britain erupted.  I switched to the BBC after few minutes.  What an incredible political dumpster fire!  The government has completely lost the confidence of the British people.  Do you think Britain is toast?  I do not.

She also campaigned with Adam Laxalt of Nevada, who led the Trump campaign’s efforts to overturn the results in that state and endorsed Ted Budd of North Carolina, who as a congressman voted against certifying the electoral college results on Jan. 6, 2021.

Stick a fork in her, too.
Way too premature to stick a fork in Nikki!

Different issues?  Big deal.  You are playing semantic games Rod.  The end result is that Abrams denied the legitimacy of the Kemp governorship, and to this day HRC and her minions deny the legitimacy of the Trump presidency.  Same insult to the Constitution and same damage to people's faith in the electoral process.  Maybe slightly different words.

Right now she is building her base.  Neither Haley nor anyone else who hopes to dislodge Trump as the front-runner can afford to ignore 1/2 the base.

Ok, but you forgot to acknowledge that denying the legitimacy of elections is part of the playbook for big-shot Democratic powerhouses like Feinstein, Clinton, and many others.  That is not an easily debatable point.  I don't think Rods attempt to finesse the issue is persuasive at all.

I'm not giving Trump a pass.  On this tactic, like so many others, the scale of his transgressions are beyond the pale.  I am saying that this seems to be a lodestone for you, and I don't think it is a good one, because it leaves you without anyone to vote for at all, if you are consistent.

We'll revisit this again I am sure!  Jim

I trust your sincerity and Rod's too, but you'll have to explain this difference to me.  Trump went farther and louder than HRC/Feinstein/Abrams but not much.  All convinced a large chunk of their constituency that the election results of proper elections were bogus.   All undermined faith in the US electoral system.  All are obviously cry-baby poor losers.   One lied about non-existent voter fraud.  Another lied about non-existent voter suppression.  Another lied about non-existent foreign interference.  The net result is the same.

Jim

p.s.  There is of course real voter fraud, real voter suppression, and real foreign interference.   But not a one of these politicians has demonstrated that these super rare instances affected the outcome of any election.  Objectively, all of these politicians have committed the "crime" of undermining their follower's faith in the election process.  Trump was loudest, most aggressive and most recent.  I'll give you that, but I do not see a difference in kind between these lies.  J
