Boehner is a sellout, an embarrassment to his caucus, and he was smacked with a reality stick. A few sane people still understand that eating the "rich" will solve nothing, because the next meal inevitably comes from the remaining cash cows lower on the food chain.

The system is run for the benefit of a few corrupt cronies and their political henchmen in the House and Senate. They have served up bread and circuses going on four years now, with no budget process or meaningful goals. The notion that they can fix or avert anything in two weeks is absurd.

The thing you want to avoid is condensed moisture or drips from other equipment that could fall on the camera body and seep into seams. Almost all of the bodies sold have a minimum operating temperature of 32F, but I've used mine as low as 5F and the only problem was a brittle cable from the AC adapter. The camera itself worked fine.

I'm guessing this was the scope originally used at the site currently run by Tzec Maun. The USAF spent a buttload of money, closed the facility, then spent even more money to transfer the scope to NASA where it was mothballed. Tzec Maun took over the empty observatory building and then spent a buttload of money installing a smaller scope to replace the one the Air Force gave away!

Is this an episode of the Twilight Zone? grin

Yes, the law mandates a 3:1 maximum ratio in the cost of health insurance between the lowest rates offered to young people, and the higher rates paid by folks in their 50s and 60s. A healthy 20-something now pays ~ $100/mo while an overweight, diabetic 55 year old might pay $1500/mo.

I wonder what the 20-something is going to say (or more likely their employer) when their premium jumps to $500/mo. grin

Hillary on the grillary

Hillary is the master at this game. I think all of her remarks were scripted well in advance, including the croc tears and the hissy fit. Imagine a group of her confidants at a meeting, gaming responses to questions she might face. One of them, a young staffer comments "You know at this point it really doesn't matter what we say". Hillary smiles broadly and exclaims "Good job, that's perfect!".

In the primaries before the ’08 election my wife commented that with Obama we should be concerned about the things we don't know, with Hillary be concerned about the things we do know...
