Against my better judgment and knowing that Dick will surely use the info against me I’ll disclose I have a BFA degree from Western Michigan University with a major in photography/graphics with a minor in business administration. A five year program I finished in four. I was working for an engineering firm as an aerial photographer/surveyor working out of Denver after I got the degree. 

My parents ran a small business specializing in meat and it was founded in 1948 after they took over from my Mom’s older sister and husband who had it during the end of the depression and WWII. 

My parents wanted to retire and my older brother and I decided to keep it in the family so we took over in 1984 and built the business from a little 800 sq/ft retail space to over 6500 sq/ft selling both retail and wholesale specializing in high quality meats and deli for a good value. For over 40 years we had sales from $1.5 to $2 million and a very loyal clientele. My brother died in 2007 and I ran it by myself until I sold the business in 2024. We employed hundreds of people over those years and helped put dozens of kids through college with flexible hours and good wages. Many would come back to work the holidays even after they graduated. It was a valued community institution in our city. 

Satisfied Dick? Now you tell us where you got your Biomedical engineering degree. 

I’m now enjoying retirement and traveling the world. I didn’t get a lot of time off running the operation so I’m making up for it now. A cruise to the Mexican Rivera and the sea of Cortez is next with a lady I met on my last cruise. I wasn't looking for one but it just happened. Must be my devastatingly good looks and sparkling personality. LOL
