Running a business that sold $1.5 Million per year, is I'm guessing a fairly big task, however the $1.5 Million or $2 Million you indicated was your sales amount per year.

When you inherited your business which your folks inherited from their folks, was the value near $1 Million?

Was the business worth less than $1 Million when you were handed the business to run?  

My guess is probably not, but the fact that you were born into a family business is how the American dream works.  

My response to you was nothing at all derogatory, in fact I congratulated you for your success, however I would only point out that while you are happy to have denigrated Donald Trump for his Million dollar inheritance, it appears that your personal success story is no different.

Now, according to you and those like you, one is supposed to just be in awe of someone like you, and at the same time, have no respect whatsoever for what Donald Trump managed to build in the same time period.

I've asked you to explain the difference between You and Donald Trump, who was not handed a business by his Mom and Dad as you were, but was handed money to start his businesses?

  My parents ran a small business specializing in meat and it was founded in 1948 after they took over from my Mom’s older sister and husband who had it during the end of the depression and WWII.

My parents wanted to retire and my older brother and I decided to keep it in the family so we took over in 1984 and built the business from a little 800 sq/ft retail space to over 6500 sq/ft selling both retail and wholesale specializing in high quality meats and deli for a good value. 

For over 40 years we had sales from $1.5 to $2 million and a very loyal clientele. My brother died in 2007 and I ran it by myself until I sold the business in 2024.

I know that most people don't speak that way about business transactions, no one but you.

Yeah, I'll go out on a limb and just say you're totally full of shit.  

Talk about making crap up, you should have just said "yeah, it was a family business and so it was just passed down".  You wouldn't appear as an abject clown.
