Nice. I like all the extra plumage and the background galaxy shows up well.

Yes, looks good. Which order was the palette? Same as your others?

Nice set of images. I agree with Jim on the aesthetics of the HOO. What about an HSO version? Also, how did you decide your color ratios with different times for the different channels? Or were they all normalized to 20 min? Since all of this is "false" color anyway, have you tried varying the ratios?

Cross post? Maybe the "DS" could stand for "Deep Sky" too. Looks great.

Nice image. Sounds like a nice set up too. Is SII next?

Globular M14

Nice jump from that 2004 image. Yes, the colors look nice and balanced here, but I believe that it should be redder because of the older stars found in globulars. There shouldn't be any blue stars at all inside the "glob", but that might be hard to tell without an even bigger background field.

That's a great final result. Worth all the tweaks.

M57 flat test

Posted By Charles Hakes

Here is a stretch on the L channel to see the flatness. This was a T-shirt flat near dawn, but I don't know if it (the cloth) was uniformly stretched enough (see upper left area). I think I have gotten better on individual frames previously, but never this good on a combined set when the rotator was doing it's thing. I think I will leave the camera in this orientation for a while until I have chance to repeat the flats - maybe with a different cloth. (?) Ideas? Should this be lots better? Is this stretch like doing a flashlight-through-the-back test on a new mirror?
