Looks like the Biden team in the runup to and immediately before the 2020 Presidential election were colluding w/Twitter

Any degree of moderation in a public platform can potentially be viewed as biased by anyone who doesn't happen to agree with it. Here, of course, we're referencing private business platforms with terms and conditions and their moderators can respond as they deem appropriate to content that, in their estimation and in consideration of all feedback they receive, do not meet their standards of their platform.
That said, the most ridiculous statement in Jim's post is, "No one should trust the press, any of it, in 2022." So when the press publishes a fact check, it shouldn't be trusted? Or if the press notes it was wrong, it shouldn't publish a retraction because it can't be trusted? Should we have another investigation of the investigation like the failed Durham probe every time a political party disagrees with the outcome and/or the initiation of an investigation? Hunter Biden has not and is not running for political office. He may be charged for tax evasion or some other offense but that remains to be decided by prosecutors. It will not be decided on Twitter or Facebook...
My position Rod, is that all outlets are biased.  The degree of bias varies of course.  I think this is not easily disputable.  You like CNN and quote them a lot.  They are far less biased than MSNBC, but do you really think CNN plays it down the middle?  I do not. Taibbi otters a good theory as to why the press is balkanized now.  I agree with him.

In addition, the moderation on major social media sites (Twitter and FB) is biased by the moderators, and I think that this bias is a left bias.  The twitter files are an example.   I certainly do not doubt that "Truth Social" is ridiculously biased to the right.  Unfortunately, many people use social media as their preferred news source.  That is a bad thing in my opinion, but it is real whether I like it or not.

The Post Millennial is a conservative Canadian online news magazine started in 2017. It publishes national and local news and has a large amount of opinion content. It has been criticized for publishing false and misleading stories about COVID-19 as well as its opaque funding and political connections.

Life News dot com? Do I even have to look that one up? Is there any doubt it is a right-wing pro-life whacko site?

I assume by now that Town Hall needs no introduction.
On top of that, the data is insignificant.  I glanced at the first article, and they conspicuously fail to mention how many respondents were unaware of the laptop story.  Out of this undisclosed number of cavern-dwellers, only 5% would have changed their vote to Trump, "had they known."  One wonders how the push-poll question was phrased too.  No detail provided.  Totally useless data.  Jim

I imagine I'm going to get spammed because I clicked on Richard's first link...  The banner headlines are classic.  I dislike bug-eyed Adam Schiff plenty, but still....

Also, the "poll" was performed by the Media Research Center.  Sounds impressive right?   I could not find the actual poll on their web page (more spam coming my way).  I did see and laugh at their motto, as reflected in the gift shop:  "Triggering the left is our business, and business is good."   https://shop.mrc.org/

Pretty honest about their position, at least for one of Richard's sources.  I wonder if Gallup has a gift shop?

When Fox News opinion commentators occupy their prime time viewing slots, I call that biased. Not CNN. Perhaps when we know the outcome of the Dominion V. Fox news trial in April of 2023, you'll have a better perspective of what bias is but we'll all have to wait and find out...
MRC is orders of magnitude more biased than CNN.  CNN is in the "skews left" category when it comes to political reporting or commentary though.  Please note that "skews left" is not that big of a deal in my mind.   CNN, PBS, the NYT and many other outlets I read skew left.  The WSJ skews right on political matters.  I would trust each of these outlets on straight news, like the coverage of a hurricane or shooting.  I acknowledge their bias when reading a political story.  I would respectfully suggest that your own bias is shading your analysis, if you think CNN plays it down the middle on political news and commentary.

That said, an outlet like MRC is beyond merely biased or skewed - MRC exists solely to foster right-extremist propaganda.  Right wing propaganda is a market niche for them.  You can donate to the cause on their web page if you want to.   This "beyond mere bias" stance is much like our own extremist.  I have a hard time believing he actually believes the crap he posts here, but apparently he does.

The idea that you are totally unaware of what the Media Research Center is, doesn't surprise me in the least.

The founder and President/CEO of the Media Research Center, Brent Bozell.

The place that you are mocking above:  https://www.mrc.org/staff/l-brent-bozell-iii

Founder and President of the Media Research Center, Mr. Bozell runs the largest media watchdog organization in America. Since its launch in 1987, the MRC has developed the largest video archive in the world; the popular NewsBusters.org blog site; the CNSNews.com internet news service; MRC Business; MRC Culture; MRCTV; MRC Latino; and most recently, Free Speech America. The MRC has nearly 650,000 members nationwide, with over 12 million fans on Facebook, and over 7 million video views per week online.

In 2010, Mr. Bozell founded ForAmerica, an organization committed to restoring America to its founding principles. ForAmerica has grown to over 7 million Facebook followers with the most engaged social media army in the conservative movement. ForAmerica was declared, “One of the greatest unexpected influences on the [2016] election,” by the New York Times. In 1998, Mr. Bozell founded and was the first president of the Parents Television Council, the largest group in America dedicated to restoring decency to Hollywood. He founded the Conservative Victory Committee PAC in 1987. Before founding the MRC, Mr. Bozell was the finance director and later the president of the National Conservative Political Action Committee and the National Conservative Foundation.

Mr. Bozell's bi-weekly column (with Tim Graham) was syndicated by Creators Syndicate to over 50 media outlets nationwide. His writings have also appeared in numerous other outlets including the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, FoxNews.com and USA Today

Not knowing about them as a conservative, is on a par with being unaware of who Thomas Sowell is and also being unaware of who Victor Davis Hanson is.

The idea that you mock the organization fits perfectly with your liberal RINO identity.

As I've stated time and time again, you expose yourself as more of a liberal Democrat every day.  smile

Back to work!
I think Thomas Sowell and VDH would be kind of pissed if they knew you were lumping them in with MRC and "NewBusters."

Interesting that you should mention Bozell's resume when the issue on the table is reliability and bias.  ("He founded the Conservative Victory Committee PAC in 1987. Before founding the MRC, Mr. Bozell was the finance director and later the president of the National Conservative Political Action Committee and the National Conservative Foundation...." )

Do you think Bozell's political activism infects his "polling company"?

Scratch that, I doubt you thought about it at all...  Jim

Ok, now we know where you stand.  We have a starting place.

You are another "attack the messenger" method of debater.

Here's my challenge to you:  Provide some evidentiary examples to support your claim.

I'll check back.  smile

Now, Back to work!
You already have.  Did you even read the stuff you linked to?  Clear cut evidence - rationally indisputable evidence of the premise that MRC exists solely to foster right-extremist propaganda.

I can only say that I hope the articles and facts above which I provided for you, educated You so that you don't remain unaware.  smile

BTW, no need to thank me counselor.  I consider the task of making you aware of the politics going on around You to be a public service.  wink

Back to work!!
You and I exchanged comments about Hunter's laptop and social media suppression of the story just last week.  You don't remember?  That's a shame.  RCP had many links to stories about the laptop.   Anyone who is not a true cave dweller knew about it.   I doubt any persuadable voters were unaware of this story, even though social media outlets spiked it.  Jim
