If you do not realize this, it's because you are willfully ignorant about the testimony so far. None of it is favorable for the President and his partners in crime, and all of it is from reliable and first-hand sources. Many federal laws relate to Trump's abuse of power and criminalize them. However, as I said before, the only constitutional recourse we have is impeachment, and that will happen. Trump's impeachment is inevitable. Removal from office is not likely. Indictments, after he leaves office, are a real possibility unless the incoming President pardons him, but that, of course, doesn't stop all the state-level indictments that will haunt him for years and decades afterward. Just look at the recent ruling about the Trump charity by a New York judge. Not only did the Trump family have to admit to persistently illegal conduct and close the charity, but they also had to disperse any remaining money to the United Way, the United Negro College Fund, and the Holocaust Museum. This ruling is fitting since the most significant misuse of funds was $264,000 to renovate a fountain outside of a Trump property in New York City. History will judge Trump as the most incompetent and corrupt President we have ever had no matter what happens, and it's a well-deserved judgment.
The avalanche of evidence keeps on coming:

Of course Donny has spun it, and I'm sure you guys will, too, with your GOP talking point but the fact remains: "The Trump Foundation has shut down, funds that were illegally misused are being restored, the president will be subject to ongoing supervision by my office, and the Trump children had to undergo compulsory training to ensure this type of illegal activity never takes place again,” Attorney General Letitia James said in statement. “The court’s decision, together with the settlements we negotiated, are a major victory in our efforts to protect charitable assets and hold accountable those who would abuse charities for personal gain."
The whole thing is just a witch hunt and Trump's the victim of Democratic operatives...

Please see the following from Lindsey Graham for further information:

You'd think the Cons on the forum would be keeping up on a conspiracy theory as important as this one...

What we do have emanating from Fox News and the GOP are the conspiracy theories that pop up to "explain" the testimony describing the quid pro quo in the House investigations.  Alas, Vindmen is supposedly some sort of double agent engaged in espionage while Graham advocates the notion that the Trump administration was collectively too dumb to know what it was doing in the Ukraine and the revised testimony heard in the House last week was due to recruitment and manipulation by "democratic operatives". As a consequence of the latter, Lindsey Graham concludes and professes that any testimony in the House contrary to the interests of the Trump administration in the Ukraine is "crap".
PS: For the record, one of the participants in the Fox News commentary on the Vindmen espionage theory, a former federal attorney who appeared along with the Fox News host and Alan Dershowitz, has now recanted the story and apologized for it while being interviewed on CNN.

No need for that since Fox News today is posting it's headline that Don junior thinks the Mueller investigation "is a joke" while their other lead story accuses the Democrats of staging a "coup in the House"...

GOP Senators On Upcoming Trial

Darian,
While he should be removed from office, but given the comments from the Republican senators, especially the overt nonsense from Lindsey Graham, I doubt he will be convicted despite overwhelming evidence.
Another Trump-backed Republican governor lost last night in a red state so that obviously doesn't bode well for Trump. If the Democrats nominate a centrist candidate such as Biden, Trump's fear of him will be justified when he loses re-election. Despite "Moody's" landslide prediction for re-election of Trump, the reality is Moody will be proven wrong just as it was in 2016 when it predicted a Clinton win...

As far as impeachment goes, the lion's share of facts are in but they're becoming more public now that the hearings are taking place. If you're a Fox news viewer, you can forget about the facts unless Fox shows up at the hearings and televises them in real time and they don't always do so. Otherwise, you'll get the Fox news political commentators pounding in the Trump script and vice versa.
As most of you should know, there was a recent shooting  this past week at Saugus high school and the latter is about 9 miles from my home and about 4 miles from my work. I could hear all of the sirens that morning and at first, I thought we had another fire in the area because the area has had its share of them. Then the horrible news followed by comments overheard from the residents. First, one Trump voter, and I'm paraphrasing of course: "Well what  are ya going to do? Check all the backpacks of every kid that goes to school?" Another resident: "If they can check your bags in an airport, then they can check at a school, too." That shut down the Trump voter who then switched back to the impeachment and commented that the "Dems" witnesses were asked by a Republican in the house what was impeachable in the transcript of the call released by the White House? Of course, we know from Vindmen that it wasn't a complete transcript and key words were missing but the Trump voter doesn't know it because he watches Fox news. Concurrent with that, a Democratic member of the house tried to get the bipartisan measure for background checks thru when a solo Republican senator nixed it because it didn't go thru her committee first. As a result, despite all of the hearings and bipartisan support of the measure, nothing has been done in congress. Prevention of foreign election interference with back-up paper ballots are needed? Blocked by Moscow Mitch. Ditto for health care legislation.
And so it goes...
