Thanks for proving that when I took your words, when you accused me of not being able to ever admit I am wrong, and I threw your words right back in your face, that I was completely justified in doing so.   wink

I'll say those words to you again (your words)

"Of course You will not.  You are unable to admit that you are wrong"
Of course I was wrong that the definition I posted was not 100 years old.  I acknowledged that in my first reply.  I am right that the definition I posted was broadened recently to encompass new technology.  I was also right that the core of the definition is that a substance administered to provoke an immune response is a vaccine under the old or broadened definitions.

So, are you going to deny that mRNA compositions administered to provoke an immune response are vaccines?

That is a pretty easy one to answer.  Will you answer it?

If you were to reply with legitimate data, we could compare the numbers from James' scholarly source with whatever you find.  Do us a favor though, don't post an opinion piece.  I'd like to see your data from a scientifically literate source.

Fat chance you'll defend your position with legit data, but hey, maybe you'll surprise us all.
Crickets - of course.

The onus is on you to provide data from a scholarly peer-reviewed article demonstrating that COVID-19 vaccines have resulted in an abnormally high number of complications and deaths. It can't be an opinion piece.
Rich never backs up his bogus assertions with legitimate data.  We all know that.

When 10s of millions of people who were vaccinated got the illness anyway, then no I wouldn't call that a vaccine under the former definition of the word.
Thank you.

You are overstating the old definition however.  See below.  This is from your source, linked above.  That actual definition is, "A preparation of killed microorganisms, living attenuated organisms or living fully virulent organisms that is administered to produce or artificially increase immunity to a particular disease."

To my knowledge, the definition of vaccine was never, "provided you immunity from getting a disease."  Maybe you could clarify your paraphrase of the definition?   I think it is undeniable that mRNA vaccines "artificially increase immunity" to a particular disease, as required by the old definition.  Therefore, I think nRNA vaccines are vaccines under either the old or the broadened definitions, but for the organism aspect, which has been superseded by new tech, kind of like filament bulbs and LED bulbs..

This vaccine obviously did not provide immunity to getting the disease or illness.

You are providing SPIN to try and win the argument at all costs, which is how you operate much of the time.

Truth is typically not your goal, the goal for you is winning the argument.

Here is how I will PROVE that the definition was not changed because they are trying to include new technology, as you falsely claim.

They could have LEFT the orignal definition in place and it would FOR SURE STILL have encompassed new technology.

Just because they used mRNA technology doesn't mean, that they couldn't have still achieved immunity from getting and spreading the disease, which was the OLD definition.

Why would the OLD original definition need to be changed just because they used NEW technology?

Your statement makes no sense?

If they left the Old definition in place, the mRNA vaccine still could have provided immunity to getting and spreading the virus.

So your spin and transmography of the word ain't makin' it.  wink
I sure don't see it that way.

Old Definition:  A preparation...that is administered to produce or artificially increase immunity to a particular disease.
New Definition: A preparation that is administered... to stimulate the body’s immune response against a specific infectious agent or disease.

I read "artificially increase immunity" and "stimulate the body’s immune response" to be exactly the same thing.  We don't need to agree on this point, but that is how I read it.   Maybe we do agree?  Anyway, the definition had to be updated because vaccine technology is no longer limited to, "A preparation of killed microorganisms, living attenuated organisms or living fully virulent organisms."  That is in paragraph 1(a) of the broadened definition.  Paragraph 1(b) includes the new tech.

The real difference here is that you seem to read the broadening of the definition by Websters as some sort of plot to cover up inadequacies in the mRNA vaccines.
I only see them updating an old definition to cover new technology.  Correct me if I am wrong about your point of view.

Trump Trading Cards

Hi George:

I don't understand the NFT world, at all.  I've read some articles where digital artwork linked to blockchain (I think that is a definition of an NFT) has soared in value.  Inexplicably to me... Serious question, where is the value in any NFT?  Is it pure naked scarcity?  NFTs seem to be traded and valued by some, but why???  Anyone who can add insight to this obscure phenomenon would be welcome.

That said, why would Trump's NFT's be in the "never make it in the NFT world" category?"  Even though I do not see the appeal of any NFT trading for big bucks, I certainly do not see why Trump's trading cards would be any less desirable than other "digital art" NFTs.  Any insight?

Not that it matters, but I think the whole scheme is ridiculous and the super-hero images make Trump into even more of a laughing stock.  The egotism of the art is the most mockable thing I've ever seen.

But that is not relevant to my questions.  For all I know, the $99 Trump NFTs could be worth a million in a few months.  In other words, some savvy traders may make millions on these, right out of the pockets of naïve Trump aficionados.  How could anyone let that happen to them?  Beats me.  Jim

Hi George:

Thanks, that is a better primer than I had read before.  Seems like a good way to lose money!  ($200k for a gif of a Lebron James dunk! cwy )

Anyway, given that the value of an NFT is not related to the quality of the art, maybe the Trump cards will be worth millions soon?  Probably not, but you never know... It seems to me that the sheer tackiness of the artwork might enhance the Trump card value for some collectors.
