SV 80 9/D a Keeper, Selling the rest

Hi Gang,
Well, the decision is made.I,m selling my other scopes.The viewing just doesn,t make it worthwhile to keep them.After 60 plus scopes of all kinds over the years I,m settling on my Stellarvue 80 9/D mounted on my GP mount.I can,t say enough about this scope.The build quality is great and the views almost rival my FS78 and at $400 bucks its hard to beat.If your looking for great quality and great views give this scope a thought.The group over at SV are hard to beat.

Stellarvues New Crayford Focuser

I don,t know how many of you out there know that Vic at Stellarvue is offering a upgraded crayford focuser on some of his scopes.I just recieved a new 80 9/D today with the new Crayford.It is beautifully machined and is as buttery smooth as you will find anywhere.I personally like the 80 9/D.Vic is offering the upgrade for only $100.00 on I believe the Night Hawk and the 80 9/D.Check out Stellarvues website for a look at this beautifull focuser.Any questions on this focuser or the 80 9/D just email me.

Hi Gang,
I,m just taking a wild guess but I,m betting most of you like myself love this hobby and maybe log onto this site once or twice during the day.I,m always looking for something or maybe selling something.Could be a big ticket item or something as small as looking for a dust cap like today.Just got an email from one of our finest, Dan D.It read "Hi Dave, need a couple I,ll send em right out, no charge".Some great people on this site. I may take a little guff from Herb on occasion but I,d sure miss this site if it wasn,t around.Well worth the money!!!

Hand grip bolts for Celestar 8

Can anyone lead me to a set of 3 hand grip bolts set to replace the 3 that come stock with the Celestars to attach it to the wedge.

Focuser repair I need a wizard.

Hi Gang,
I need some adjustment on a focuser or maybe more than that.Anyone know of someone out there that is a wizard with focusers who can take a look at it if I ship it to him.

Feathertouch on a C8 ?

Hi Gang,
I have a Celestar 8 in like new condition with great optics.But you all know the standard focusers.I was thinking of a feathertouch but know nothing about them.Would they work well with my ota, are they hard to attach and are their any other focusers out their that will work.I,d appreciate any comments or actual experience with them.

I have a good friend who has a scope shop here in town and have used them quite a bit with a TAK and some other scopes.I too was quite surprised at the views.I,ve done quite a bit of planetary viewing with them and the views were very sharp.even the barlow performed well.Granted their not Televue quality but for $99 including a nice case its a good value.

Hi Don, I have had them all, radians you name it. After spending mucho money over the years I decided to just stick with good quality eyepieces.For the viewing I do I just couldn,t justify the cost for the ultra high end ones anymore.The view I was getting with them wasn,t that much better to me.
