observing in MN

I have not even bothered to set up for almost a week. I was out last night for 10 minutes or so observing with my eyes only. The sky was very clear although I could not see the Milky Way from my suburban skies. The light from the moon must be bouncing off our 8 inches of new snow cover.

I was out during the lessor cold spell over a week or so ago. At least 45 minutes were required by my Mewlon to even begin to settle down. I have been wondering if observing in Minnesota winters should be left to refractors. I can go out with an FS78 and be observing within 10 or 15 minutes.

Unless Herb can dig it up it likely is gone. I would put a letter in the mail to this fellow along with an email explaining your situation. That way when he returns home expecting to see your check he is not upset with you. Any of us would understand, I am sure he will too and allow you another chance to get him the payment.

Many people print the ad once they have a deal to refer back to. You will want to do that in the future.
