Does anyone use Tpoint?

I have to admit I don't understand everthing about this program. But mapping the sky seems to be a straight foward task. My problem is that after mapping at least 30 stars and everything is landing right in the middle of my ccd chip, I will stop and take some images of something for a while, then I'll go back to The Sky to slew to another object and all the sudden the pointing accuracy is off. I mean way off, its barley in the view finder. I can't seem to figure it out. My scope is permenatley mounted and I've had to do several mapping runs and it always turns out the same, Pausing for half an hour for imageing then it forgets where its at or something. What up wit dat????

Andromada with a 2" achromat

Stellarvue achromat at 750mm F/L reduced to 450mm. two frame mosaic. Exposures are 20 min for each frame. Yea, the resolution not all that great but man, what a huge FOV. I'm used to getting these small chuncks of sky with my 8" SCT. I think a good apo is in my future smile

This is a five minute exposuer of a small piece of the Sagittarius star cloud. Thats one of the best things for me abot CCD imaging. Never in a million years can I see so many stars from the terribly light polluted skies I live under.

It's one of those deals where you can't have your cake and eat it to. Remove the reducer and use the flip mirror to image @ 6.3 (which is what I image at) or remove the flip mirror and image with the reducer. If you just have to use the flip mirror try mosaic imaging, its not too hard to do. Also, fine tune your LX200 so when it stops slewing, your object is on the ccd. High persicion mode works great and there is no need for a flip mirror. I sold my flip mirror.
