Alright guys, enough is enough!! You are all killing me w/ the pics and how easy it was to get great pics of the venus transit. I own a kodak cx4230 (cheapest camera on market im sure), and have been taking pics of planets, sun, moon, ect. I had my scope ready to go last night, camera already attached to scope via the steadypix adapter from orion. Alarm set for 5:15am (iowa, central time) and woke up to see CLOUDS!! I waited it out, but the appx end of the transit went by and i sat there, thinking, well, 2012 isnt "that" far away Anyway, thanks for the pix, im sure it was a spectacular thing to see through the scope and keep em comin'. I have a kodak cx4230 w/o the lens threads and I use the orion steadypix mount which works quite well. If your lens on the your camera has threads, you can get mounting adapters from various places. When i first started shooting jupiter, mine would be bright also. I starting using a meade swa 18mm w/ a 2x apo barlow and adjusted the zoom on the camera. It will darken it alot because of the magnification. THe scope i use is a meade lx90 (8 sct). Works great! Keep in mind, that the digital camera has no bells or whistles, just a timer to i dont have to hit the button when taking a pic and 3x opt zoom. Here is the lastest pic i took. Tom

I love the layout, the way the pics pop up in the description and just the overall layout. Some people might not like it because they are afraid of change. Change is good, and trust me this website is very, very good. Tom
